I have had my truck for the past year, been towing a 5,500lb travel trailer approximately 8k miles on stock wheels. I would like to do some off roading, trail riding, and maybe light rock crawling in addition to towing.
I have been looking at aftermarket wheels and have been reading up on forged vs cast aluminum wheels. It seems the cast aluminum often seen in off road wheels may not do well when towing.
Any of you have experience or thoughts on the matter? What should I take into consideration when looking at aftermarket wheels for this type of use case? Can I get the best of both worlds?
