XLT Rear-View mirror compass standard or optional upgrade?

Good day

Is the Rear View Mirror with built-in compass an extra accessory? I test drove 2 different 2021 XLT with 302A; one of them had the compass direction in the rear-view mirror and the other had nothing.

I did a search in the Owner's manual and could not find any area where this option can be turned on/off.

I have a mid level XLT and the compass is in the instrument panel.
have not really looked at the rear view for it.
maybe that is what all those wires are for going to the mirror
