I lost connection to my Truck in FordPass almost 2 weeks ago after Sunrun tried to connect the Intelligent Backup System... They were back again today to try and finish the configuration, no luck. Ford put the truck in a deep sleep and restarted 40 minutes later still no go. Some features work in FordPass but most don't. Heard someone else has the same problem yesterday, anyone else having this problem?

Pull the negative lead on your 12v battery and plug it back in after 20-30 seconds. (10mm socket)

Alot of people are having this issue, this temporarily remedies it until Ford releases a fix next month.

Mine did the same last week, battery trick worked. Here I am, 4 days later, and it's happened again. Waiting for my battery quick disconnect from Amazon to arrive, as I expect we'll be doing this dance for awhile longer

Well, used the disconnect battery trick and all started working again.. lost some radio presets... yes I still use the radio for local info... then I dug into configuring the intelligent backup got that configured and working (I'm in IT so it was hurting me to see an electrician try and do software programming - good guy just IT is my field)...

Anyone have any unexpected issues disconnecting the 12v? I tried it for the first time today, and afterwards my frunk wouldn’t close, I had to do it manually. Then when I plugged the truck in, it started charging to 100% immediately, disregarding my charge limit and schedule. I still can’t get it to schedule a charge. I tried deleting my home location, but now I can’t get it to recognize a new charge location at all.

this seemed to work like magic for everyone else, but I’m regretting it now

The frunk is going to happen everytime, it loses track of where it is. Just slowly lower it until it latches and you're good to go.

The 100% charging issue had happened to me once (I've had this problem since December and have disconnected 5 times). To fix that, erase the charge location you have your charge settings saved in. Then plug in the truck, and set it up again. No issue again after it. You have to actually send the vehicle a charge to be able to save a new charge location (it won't setup if the vehicle is fully charged, it has to send a charge to recognize it as a charge location). Drive it around for a minute, or turn on all the heat settings to drain a little battery so it can accept a charge again.

Is it a pain, yes, is not talking to the truck for 5-7 days a bigger pain? Yes.

Good to hear the charging issue isn’t an every time thing, I still couldn’t get it to add a home location again after I deleted it. I’ll go back out and try again later.

the lesser of two pains I suppose

Yeah, you have to make sure the battery actually takes a charge. If you plug it in and the battery is full it won't set up a new place.
