Been using the Typhoon Pro on the Lightning and works amazing. No issues and consistent performance. Typhoon Pro is for DC fast charging level 3 and will not work on AC Level 2.

You will need a NACS to J-1772 AC Level 2 adapter like the A2Z Stellar to charge your vehicle using Tesla home chargers or Tesla destination chargers.

One of the reasons I like the A2Z adapter is how easy it is to use as far as plugging it in to the vehicle and unplugging it from the vehicle while handling the NACS connector in the other hand.

After trying the Typhoon Pro, Typhoon and Ford / Tesla OEM adapter. Here are my thoughts on them.

They all work great and beats having to use Electrify America. The most user friendly is the Typhoon pro due to the single switch to control the CCS side and NACS side. I also like how easy it is to hold the Typhoon pro securely. The lip on the NACS side is a nice touch to make sure the adapter doesn’t slip out of your hand.

The Ford / OEM Tesla dual latch is a little more user friendly compared to original Typhoon but a little harder to grip securely while toggling both the latches. I think grip tape might be nice to have as long as it doesn’t mess with thermals.

You can buy the original Tesla OEM adapter from Rivian for $250 with free shipping BUT NO RETURNS ALLOWED.

I personally keep both the OEM Tesla adapter and A2Z Stellar AC / Typhoon Pro DCFC adapter to have myself covered at all times.

This ensures I have a backup always and I can charge at Tesla Destination chargers commonly found at hotels / shopping center / parking lots.

The best part of having access to the Tesla network is some of the really cool places you get to stop at to charge and refresh.
