You are gonna wanna drop it off with it around 50% SOC to help when they have to balance the pack

She’s on the charger now. Charging at 10.1kw but it says in the app it’ll be charging for 20 hours to get to 85%. Crazy bad calculations.

Too bad you likely don't have time to attempt a 100% charge with the timetable ya on. It'd definitely satiate my curiosity on the subject. Good luck with it man, hopefully they can get you fixed up before the move!

But charging 10.8kw should necessitate 12 hours of time. Not 20 hours.

Since I can't charge at that rate, nor have I had to charge at those temps, I suspect it's some combination of the pack knowing it needs a cell balance and colder temps. The lower a cell depletes the more delicately it'll need to be charged, perhaps it's attempting to do this and factoring it into the time. The only way to know for sure is to let it do it's thing. Since you're appointment is tomorrow, I suspect there won't be time for that.

Nah it’s only 50 degrees right now. I did change it to 100% so it should be done before I leave the house at 0730 tomorrow. I suspect it will still be 83% when I leave and that a battery module is bad.

Extremely likely, I almost hope that to be the case so it can get fixed properly, but more data is always better.

So far 40% at 10.9kw. Still showing full charge in 19 hours.

It didn’t do anything. Woke up with the same 100% 240mile capacity. I noticed last night as it got close to 80% the charged slowed to 1.6kw again.

The dealer was able to duplicate the errors but got 100% battery health?

Ford F-150 Lightning Ford app says 100% charged when setting is at 85% IMG_9088

Also

ā€œHe did run the array test and it did pass…The BECM test passed as well stating 100% but the tech suspects that there may be an issue with the module and that is part of what he would like to ask Ford.ā€

So we know now that entire packs are interchangeable with the SR to ER swap, if this extends to the modules themselves, it'd make me wonder if the individual modules have their own BMS, if it's BMS is 'offline' whether due to wiring, burnout, getting crushed by swollen cells, etc, it wouldn't be able to report a problem. Normally I would think that the pack would say "hey I haven't heard from this module in a while, should we go check on them?", but with the modularity maybe Ford thought they could rely on it and make the parts more interoperable. If it wasn't clear, this line of thought is nothing but supposition on my part, but it would explain what's happening if true. It also makes me wonder how many modules were replaced from actual cell issues vs non cell issues like wiring or electronics.

That’s a good point. I’d the module ā€œdiesā€ the module can’t communicate at all Andi only receive 83% of the size of the battery when charging.

Again, it's only speculative intuition, but I could see it being used this way, it could be plopped into any BEV or hybrid as is. The rest of the module could be fine but an disabled BMS in a module would explain everything. I can't think of anything else that would without a schematic.
