I don't disagree, but this is the first I've seen someone be able to tap into the DRL from the truck without the canbus. If you find somewhere else better, let me know!

I assume he ran the front fender flare lights to the back too, but trying to get a follow up from him. Either way, running a wire slightly further to the tow hitch seems like it could be easier than canbus for something simple like DRLs.

Someone on Facebook discovered they can connect to the small brown wire in the 7 pin connector in the hitch to power (or activate with a switch) lights directly off of the trucks running lights.

I've been trying and failed to do this through FORScan too. I think there might've been a thread a bit ago that someone with an expertise on the circuit boards said you'd have to change the LED to accomplish this.
