Be careful what you wish for. While I seriously doubt that NHTSA will do anything about this complaint I imagine Ford’s solution would be to stop asking and always default to Normal on every start. That would be the lowest risk solution.

Are the tires rubbing because the diameter is larger? If you didn’t adjust the speedometer for the larger size it will be reporting a lower mileage that could be part of the drop.

Maybe Brian @Ford Motor Company could publish the list of VINs, or at least the last 5 digits.
