Gotcha. I have the 6.5 bed so it has the caps that pop out both front and rear.

I did the install on my own, both the rack and tonneau. You don't need to cut out the front pockets; they are just caps that pop out from the top rail cover. Super easy overall. Probably about 1.5 hours for both.

I decided against the canister style covers since I also want to be able to load bikes, dirtbikes and other items straight against the front of the bed. That is a lot of lost space with the canister style.

Ryan, I am also in Idaho snow-country and so far have had no issues with this setup Adarac Controur rack with the Gator HR1 "hard rolling" cover.

Only water leakage that I have noticed so far is around the tailgate. Plan to add the tailgate seal to resolve most of that. No tonneau is 100% waterproof that I have found but for a rolling cover, this seems to do a great job so far.
