My factory light bar showed no condensation issues, but I had it replaced under the original recall. My replacement, as of last night, now has condensation in it and unlit areas of the red lighting.
Ford does this all the time with discontinued models. They won't offer a better deal to buy the vehicle outright at the end of the lease, but they will offer lease holders targeted incentives to lease or buy another Ford vehicle.

I don't think you can buy parts of the running board separate from the whole assembly. I would look for a used set on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. I think they are around $1400 a side from Ford.
You know what the interesting thing about an EREV Lightning is? Since the drive train is pure electric, it wouldn't take much engineering to remove the gas generator and put in a larger battery if demand warrants it.
Just something to keep in mind.
