  1. 2023 ER XLT with 45000 miles on it has gone into "stop Safely Now" mode: Fixed post #37

No, I never had any kind of error messages. I just figured it out after my 32 amp portable charger worked and the 40 amp did not. The chargers at the dealer also did not work they charged at 48. I have attached a pic. that really helped the dealer understand what was happening. The truck...
  2. Safety Issue with Cruise Control Accidently Engaging

My last F-150 was a 2000. I wonder if this one will last 23 years.
  3. 2023 ER XLT with 45000 miles on it has gone into "stop Safely Now" mode: Fixed post #37

I had something similar. My truck would start charging and then turn red after 10-15 seconds. I thought it might be my charger, so I hooked up my portable charger and everything charged fine. I have an Emporia wall charger and contacted them. To make a long story short their customer service...
  4. Where did you buy your extended Ford warranty?

I ended up getting if from my dealer. The finance guy initially quoted me a price that was like $1500 more than Granger. I showed him the Granger price and he said if they can sell it at that price, so can we. He tried to enter in the price and his system would not allow it to enter it...
  5. Top 3 lists: what went wrong and right

Wrong: Marketing: During the mannequin period, Ford should have had these trucks out to every public event they could get to. Driving is believing. Dealer: I just had mine back to the dealer to have the 12v battery checked. While I was getting checked in the tech that actually works on the...
  6. Safety Issue with Cruise Control Accidently Engaging

It doesn't have anything to do with sport mode. It happens in all modes. Its driving technique. I tend to palm the wheel for quick turns at low speed like in parking lots. My hand inadvertently hits the cruise button. I do like the 1 button engagement most of the time. I still don't know...
  7. Has anyone undercoated their truck?

I was interested in ceramic coating and my dealer offered me a package that included undercoating. It as cheaper than stand alone ceramic. They did the steel parts only that included the frame, tops of the springs. They did a fantastic job with no overspray any where. Looks like the taped...
  8. What's the deal with Shell/Volta?

The volta station at our local Kroger was free then rebranded to Shell. These level 2 charger were free for a while under Shell. In August the started charging. $1.45 to plug in and .35 per KW. Seems pricey to me for a level 2 charger. Since I charge at home its no big deal, but I did...
  9. Ford Charging Station Pro or Emporia Charger

Go with the Emporia. I had a charging issue that I thought was a problem with the charger. Turns out it was with the truck charge controller. Emporia's customer service was great in helping diagnois the problem. My Ford dealer told me I had better diagnosis tools than they did. I was able...
  10. Is anyone getting more miles per charge? I had it for 3 years and it seems im getting more as it it gets older?

I would agree, I think the efficency is getting better. I don't use Trip 1 or 2 for trips, but I do use them to track how many miles per KW I'm using. Each year on my delivery anniversary I reset trip 1. Year 1 got 2.3 miles per KW. Year two got 2.4 miles per KW. My delivery anniversary...
  11. Harvest Program 25H02

I also got the letter. I'm really hesitant to have my dealer mess with my truck. I subscribe heavily toward the if its not broke, lets not fix it camp. I had it back 3 times for the complimentary steering wheel heater. It should have been obvious as to what was needed, but they needed it...
  12. PU-Sync-25.2.1.6.5 - Walk Away Lock Toggles: Post 203 Final FIX!

I just got the OTA update as well. Nothing changed on my screens either. I did get the WAL feature from the EAP and it still works so far. Hopefully the screen controls are not too far behind. -Jeff
  13. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

That's about what I get when hauling. Weight doesn't seem to make that much difference. I think aero is the big range killer. If the load is above the cab of the truck it seems to take it down. -Jeff
  14. Thinking of doing a replacement CV Axel by myself.... anyone else tried it?

I have done it on my 2000 F-150. Hardest part of the job is getting the axle shaft out of the hub. An air chisel/hammer helps a lot.
