I have done it on my 2000 F-150. Hardest part of the job is getting the axle shaft out of the hub. An air chisel/hammer helps a lot.

I use lane centering all the time. I have found that if you let go of the wheel and let it find its "center", it works pretty well by giving the wheel a small tug about every 15 seconds. -Jeff

I have had mine up on my lift for tire rotation. I pull forward so the lift arms can reach the arrows on the frame designated as lift points. Attached is a pic that will give you an idea. -Jeff
