LOLOL,, I think both of you are wrong on the GWM. I think everything juicy is baked into the firmware and specifically the GWM runs QNX and rightfully so, it's dealing with security, has gobs of ethernet and CAN ports and is probably the only means of cybersecurity they are employing. I'd hope...
I suspect that since your truck was destined for the non-NorthAmerica outfitter that your factory AB file probably wasn't fully complete like most peoples.
It's possible but it's another Module, another on board charger, and a private CAN bus control wire.
IT would be possible and the harness that is being replaced could be purchased with that option.
For the actual software of FORScan to run on your windows machine?
Just get any version, it doesn't have to be some newest version, the truck has been out for 4yrs.
You WILL need an extended license to perform MFUs.
Sorry man, the comparison tool I've been using won't work on my office computer b/c I guess it's blocked for security reasons.
Do you have AsBuilt Explorer or have you ever used it?
Correct, there may be a correlation between that inverter's config and the 7.2kW inverter a bit meaning something like "enable on start up" or some such, but I have asked Livnitup Dave about the config for both inverters and he doesn't have anything telling :( Henning I owe you a config...
Thanks for posting this.
It's pretty odd indeed what they have there. I find it odd what they choose to bake into the firmware versus what they store in config across multiple modules in general. I'd love to see more plain text in the configs,, it alludes to real engineers making decisions.
What exact trim is your truck. You need a IPC AB config from a truck with the same features with the newer firmware. Just ask here and have someone send it to you.
