Charging stations are another major factor, but now that I can use Tesla Superchargers I find it quite easy to charge when I am on the road or on a trip.
This was posted a few days ago in another thread. At least in California, the "some day there will be enough chargers" sentiment is not really valid anymore; we're there already. Gas pumps vs EV Chargers

I sat at a table full of EV skeptics recently and that was one of their arguments. Showed them the our region in PlugShare filtering for just DCFC stations. Shut down that argument real quick. They're just delaying the inevitable in the EV transition. It's just a shame that all major companies are beholden to their shareholders and are actually prevented from innovating.

Clearly California is unique.

The other 49 states are quite a bit behind California.

And that being said . . the time to fill up a fuel tank . . bout 10 min? the average time spent at a non-Tesla fast charger is approximately 42 minutes

The more chargers the better!
Unless you’re in your driving all the time or on a road trip you don’t need to charge in 10 or 15 minutes. Less stress on the grid which is probably going to be an issue going forward because of all the power AI data centers need in addition to our slow but sure transition to BEVs.

I hate to see a slowdown in sales, but on the other hand that keeps the cost from getting too high. It also takes longer to become profitable, which is not good for the longevity of any of the EV makers. It is a difficult quandary for the legacy auto makers for sure.

Yep, all the AI/Cloud data centers are going to whack the electrical grid upside the back of the head . . so to speak... Glad I have my solar, and in 14 months my meter has gone back 5k kW.
