2024 Lightning Lariat
Crazy storms last night in Jersey. A tree branch fell in my neighbors yard and knocked the power line off the house. Brought my truck (‘24 Lariat) over and ran a small submersible pump to pump out the pool from the frunk and ran a chest freezer sump pump and a refrigerator/freezer from the bed. Kept everything running all night and all morning until the power company showed up. Only used about 5% of batter power.

I just wish I had the pro power with 240v connection to run some more things or attempt to plug into their generator inlet. She didn’t have a generator but had the connection for one. I don’t even know if this can be done with the truck but I assume it can. I didn’t opt for the upgraded pro power. I have a whole house generator. I’ll opt in for the next truck though because, you never know.

I'm sure you already know, but if you were to connect to the GenSet Connection, (If it's a simple system), you will need to open the Main....
That being said . . .sounds like you saved the day. A great neighbor! to have!

OMG the flooding was terrible to watch on the news, good you could help the neighbors cope!

I decided the 9.6kW ProPower was a must-have option before I bought for that specific reason.
Unfortunately it can't be added, as far as I know, after the truck is made. It would involve a lot of wiring etc.

I now have my house set up with a GENERAC 6853 just waiting for an outage - not too common around here though.

I still have my gas generator (10k peak and 8k running watts) so I can use the truck during an outage for other things if needed.

And I have a boat in my front yard for a worst case scenario flood - knock on wood.

Now that sounds like a plan
