I have seen all the threads on converting to the rotary shifter. I actually like the person who mounted the rotary type in the dash where the brake controller was located so the center console can be totally open, but I use my brake controller often so that is out of the question. I would either like to find another place to mount the rotary knob. Or has anyone tried, or know if the newer Mach E stalk type shifter will work electronically? I can handle the mechanical part of trying to add it to the Lightning steering column, that way I can still have the center console totally open.

Yes, there is a column shifter conversion kit available for the Ford F-150 Lightning (2021-2025 models).

infotainment.com
The primary option is the 2021-2025 Ford F-150 Center Console to Steering Column Shifter Conversion Upgrade from Infotainment.com. It replaces the stock stowable/folding console shifter with a traditional steering column-mounted shifter (using genuine Ford/OEM parts plus a custom harness and mounting bracket).

infotainment.com
Key Details
  • Compatibility: Fully listed as compatible with F-150 Lightning 2021-2025. It is plug-and-play with no cutting, splicing, or permanent mods. The kit frees up the entire center console for storage, a workstation, extra USB ports, etc.

    infotainment.com
  • Lightning-Specific Notes:
    • The manual +/- gear shift buttons on the stalk are currently inoperable (as they are on the stock Lightning shifter anyway). The company is working on future mapping/custom functions.

      infotainment.com
    • The "M" button typically retains functionality (e.g., as the extended neutral hold).

      f150lightningforum.com
    • For 2024+ models (including some Lightnings), Ford dealer programming of the TRON module may be needed for full cluster display accuracy (the shifter still works mechanically without it).

      infotainment.com
  • Installation: DIY in ~2-3 hours with basic tools and a trim removal kit. Follow their YouTube guide. It's reversible.

    youtube.com
  • User Feedback: Positive overall from Lightning and gas F-150 owners. One early Lightning installer had a minor parts mismatch (wrong-year shifter) but resolved it with support and reported solid performance afterward. The custom bracket is well-regarded.

    f150lightningforum.com
  • Price: Typically around $800 (described as premium/"eye-watering" by buyers; occasional sales/discounts reported).

Where to buy: Infotainment.com product page. They offer a trade-in program for your old console shifter.

Alternatives
  • Rotary dial shifter kits (e.g., 3D-printed adapter + Ford rotary module) — These keep everything in the console but allow a flat work surface when stowed. Popular in Lightning communities for similar space benefits.

    youtube.com
  • DIY harness/parts swaps (more complex, sourcing a used column shifter, custom wiring) — Cheaper but higher effort and risk.

Still waiting for them to release a column shifter that supports power tilt. Would buy that up tomorrow if it was available.

I noticed there was no option for power tilt. Anyone know what to look up (year etc) for the part numbers of all the column parts, or why it wouldn't work on a power tilt model? I have no problem with mechanical modifications or wiring, so if it was a mechanical fit issue, I may be inclined to order the shifter and try to adapt it to mine. Maybe its the column cover, and they never made a power tilt with a column shift? I'm new to the world of Ford so I'm still learning. I also have access to a 3d scanner so maybe some reverse engineering of the different covers could lead to a 3d printed cover for power tilt/column shift if that was the issue.

Yeah, the lack of power tilt support is a deal breaker, otherwise I'd prefer this over the rotary dial conversion.

The stalk shifter from the Mach E wont work in the Lighting. The SCCM is apart of the TRON network(Encryption) in the 25 up Mach E

Also the SCCM is completely different size and shape. Its the mustang style SCCM not the truck style.
