I stand corrected then and need to pay closer attention to the footnotes. Most of the talk seemed to be that Ford was being conservative with the range estimates. Wonder how many potential Platinum buyers read the footnote and understood that for a whole lot more money, they'd be getting a...
I will have to make more inquiries, but from what I've seen only 4×4s are allowed. It is called a 4x4 beach permit. The sand is soft and ruts are deep. If the 150L has a locking rear diff, it will probably be alright...fingers crossed. I assume the F150L ground clearance will be similar to the...
Ford has described the Lighning as 4 WD and lists "off road" as a drive mode. What is happening mechanically in off road mode?
4 WD is required for beach permits in my neck of the woods, meaning AWD need not apply. Is the Lightning going to qualify as 4 WD?
Thanks for asking the questions and reporting asnwers. Q/A #17 just looks incorrect. No way the hitch is only 9" off the ground. Nineteen I would believe, 9" not so much. The trunk on my MG midget had more ground clearance that that.?
I guess my age and colonial roots are showing.?
Interesting that the ER is calculated to require more watts than the SR due to charging efficiency factored into the larger battery capacity. Learned something new today. I hadn't thought about it, but it makes sense.
Rough numbers, I figure F150L vs my current ICE vehicles saves about $0.09/mile fuel and $0.01/mile maintenance so say $0.10/mile. Anyone done similar rough calcs?
Will Ford publish expected energy efficiency of F150L? I haven't seen any. If you have, please post a link. For now, what's everyone's guess? My guess is 50 kwh/100miles.
I think the oft repeated motto on this forum applies here. Plan on receiving no tax credits or incentives and you won't be disappointed and any credit or state incentives you receive would be a pleasant surprise.
Easy to say, but for some folks (myself included) these can make or break the...
I was a late adopter, so I will probably be disappointed ?. It is what it is. Maybe GM will be taking orders on the Silerado by the time my Ford res. number gets called. It is good to have more choices and competition in the etruck market.
