It looks like the latest price increase on the Pro was not to make the Pro profitable in 2023, but rather to precondition potential buyers for the relative pricing of trims in 2024. That's my take anyway. It makes very little sense to roll out a headline grabbing 2nd price increase for the Pro...

Is the demand for a $40k Pro at time of reservation the same as for a $52k Pro in the current market? Time will tell.

Ford did not force anyone into ordering higher trims, or cancel any Pro orders......Ford simply fixed a pricing glitch on the PRO model. Kinda like fixing the payroll glitch for Milton in Office Space. Smoooooth move.

The PRO trim at either price is close to unobtainium.... if we are being realistic.

^^^^^^^ Been thinking along the same lines as above, recently. Instead of replacing my truck with the Lightning. Replace the DD with a Bolt and keep my ice truck. I had no choice but to replace my old ice truck that died with a slightly less old ice truck earlier this year.

Ford has apparently pulled a "Rivian" move on our Canadian friends....except Ford is not back-tracking. Ford will undoubtedly still sell every Lightning they make, even though I think Ford is underestimating potential future consequences of disparate (in my view unfair) treatment of Canadians...

Until recently, it was the incredible value of a MY 22 PRO at $40k with $7,500 tax credit, then the utility of a crew cab pickup with frunk, then performance, then low o&m cost.....but that's just me.

That's disappointing. I moved my reservation to Levittown 1 yr ago based on e-mail exchange with the GM confirming no ADM.

If I get an invite for MY 23, I plan to defer, if that's an option. Hopefully, the Silverado EV comes on line in 2024 and is competitive. Fingers crossed my 10 yr old ICE truck lasts a couple more years to handle my hauling/towing and other truck duties. I plan to use the F150L (or Silverado)...
