I ran mine down the passenger side of the truck below the door sill trims. I removed the two sill plates and the passenger footwell cover. That gives you enough access to run the wire all the way down to behind the rear passenger seat.
I love mine. I regretted not having them on my 16. After seeing the small stock mirrors on our trucks I’m happy I went with the tow mirrors. I tow my boat about 2-3 times a month and they make it a lot easier to see around it.
I agree but what’s weird is for the past 2 weeks I’ve had an update failed alert on my screen and it’s still there. The alert says some of the modules failed to update.
I use a griots garage g9 with lakes pads and 3d speed for a compound. Surface prep is very important as well or you’ll just be creating more swirls. If you want to learn how to detail your truck check out apex detailing on YouTube. That’s where i learned from.
Anyone else have changes you made with forscan return to the default factory settings? I did the reverse brake assist changes months ago and last night backing into my garage it slammed on the brakes. I turned it off in the settings but the warning now pops up every time I go into reverse. I’m...
For what it’s worth I’ve had the “something went wrong” error for 2 months now. I just did the app update on my iPhone and it’s back to normal.
I experienced the same problem with the trailer brake today. FWIW I installed a new electric over hydraulic actuator on my trailer which came with a brand new connector. Had no issues bleeding the brakes when I installed it. Took the trailer out today to burnish the new pads I installed and no...
I’ve been getting the error of a partial response received in my fordpass app now for about 2 weeks. I’ve tried reinstalling the app and removing and reading the truck back into the app. Anyone else have this problem?
That’s what I’m afraid of. I found another thread in the f150.com forum that talked about Ford using att for all there communications between the truck and Ford servers. If you could change carriers, that’s very big if, I would believe it would be at the expense of not having a connected truck...
I am planning on looking into this. If the SIM card is removable on the modem then I don’t see why the device couldn’t be unlocked and perform a sim swap to use another carrier. I’ve been in the cellular industry for 20 years so it’s plausible to use another carrier it just all depends on the...
Email Alex at real truck and tell him you saw the posts in the f150 forum. He will get it for you at the lower price with free shipping. I just received mine a few days ago.
