Watched the video Chris - great as always!
I hope Ford pushes an improved route planner soon (allows for target SoC at each location and incorporates Tesla natively at a minimum) but out also would be nice if ABRP had a way to precondition when using their app.
One feature I do like in ABRP is...
A ton of great suggestions here.
If none of those work for you I wanted to share that my 2023 Lariat ER had intermittent issues for about the first 9 months - Ford initially thought it was software but they ended up replacing the TCU Telematics Communications Unit and I have not had issues...
I have just over 67,000 miles on my 2023 Lightning Lariat ER and have never heard any issues ( and I have very sensitive hearing ). Hope they can isolate the issue for you.
I would tend to agree - I have a 2023 Lariat ER with almost 67,000 miles on it now and I have only ever had issues with the TCU (telematics communications unit) - never had mechanical issues.
I agree with you on the software portion - but I think the current side camera orientation in the mirrors that is aiming down would not provide the same wide angle and clarity the side mounted Tesla cams in the “B” pillars currently do. I think they would need to implement that hardware change...

I have a 2023 Lariat ER and rarely tow but I really got the max tow for that second cooling loop in hopes of it helping the health of the battery in the long term.
I also have this issue - the retro fit was done in late 2023 in my 2023 Lariat ER, but I have no option in FordPass for the wheel in climate.
@Ford Motor Company- should this have been completed as part of the retrofit?
I have to concur with the other comments, I have travelled on many LONG road trips since I took delivery of our Lariat ER in 1/6/2023 and I currently have 63,970 miles…major road trips included:
SE Pa to West Palm Beach Florida (first week we had it only EA and EvGO chargers) (2,200 miles RT)...
I took delivery of my 2023 Lightning Lariat ER on 1/6/2023 and currently have 63,428 miles on it - all virtually trouble free.
only Ford issue was the connectivity to FordPass was sketchy 2023 into 2024 but they replaced the TCU (telematics communication unit) and it has been good ever since...
Hello all,
I posted a few days ago about getting the email my replacement adapter had shipped.
It arrived today and it is the more robust adapter that Ford custom built with Lectron. The whole unit it much heavier and the switches to unlock from charge port and the NACS adapter are very high...
Hello all,
I was one that was on the list of defective adapters sent out (received mine in June) and I just received the email from Ford that my replacement has shipped:
