I tend not to worry about it other than blatantly charging to 100 for no reason. Heck if a 3 year old iPhone I didn’t treat well had 89% capacity with close to 1000 cycles , the truck with its cooling and BMS will probably never have an issue in my years of ownership.

I don’t think I’d go back to a Gas vehicle as a daily driver … the lightning has probably spoiled me power wise though lol. I just love the instant acceleration.. no delay.

One would think these are the exact same as the standard f150… shouldn’t be rocket science… maybe a different dealership going forward is the answer.

Just did a 2k round trip… Tesla charging is a game changer .. EA sucks .. I tried to use some of my “free” charging but usually EA is just jam packed or out of order.

Given what other components (infotainment etc) cost … I’d say it’s a shot in the dark but I did an 8yr/100k to match the battery. I witnessed the cost for just a bad radio on my father’s ford edge($2200) . I figure there’s enough things to go wrong that in 8 yrs I’ll get my money back either way.

For what it’s worth , My father’s edge did the same thing, ended up needing a few modules replaced.. around 2k without warranty…the key with his is the cluster just said audio off and it would never turn on, if everything else works it’s probably just the screen or a loose connection.

Happy with my purchase… it was that or a 5.0 F150, I drove the lightning and got my use , worked perfectly. I have had zero issues with mine.

Could also add a little felt tape to the contact points .. pretty common on the f150’s in general

No worries it’s frustrating because there is no clear path for OTA updates, I received my truck in Feb of this year 2023 ER XLT, I’m just getting this now when it seems like everyone else had it months before me. Believe me I was like a little kid to finally have percentage on the main screen...

If you just got pushed 6.5, 6.8 is next and should happen pretty quick, I went from 6.5 to 6.8 the next day as have many others… at least we can get our truck wet without it shorting out ?

If you have anything else you need, rockauto was like 11.76 for a gallon, just had to use my 2011 as the vehicle for the the vc13 type to show up. I’m guessing with shipping it’s still less than 25 even add in 5% code from rock auto.

There is a member here that supplied the files for a 3d printer (assuming you are talking about the 1/2turn clips). He also sells them for like 3 bucks a piece. https://www.mattsprintables.com/. No affiliation but cheaper than a printer and definitely a better option than buying a whole assembly.

FITCAMX, buy a 256gb pro/industrial sd card and chuck the one that comes with it.
