  1. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

None of those are 75-80 mph though which is a lot different than even 70 mph.
  2. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

I would too. Those numbers blow past all independent testing.
  3. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

That’s insanely good. Independent testing of the ER model from insideevs got 270 at 70 mph, in perfect weather with no wind. C&D got 230 miles at 75 mph. At 75-80 mph, where I did virtually all of my driving, I routinely saw 1.7-1.9 m/kwh. Low 200 miles from a 100% charge. ER lariat. Did they...
  4. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

Something is fishy here for sure. No company would allow a vehicle to be lemon law’d over a wiper motor. Selling it later will be near impossible too.
  5. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

That’s about what I would get from my truck. If I had only known it could have been lemon law’d for that… Didn’t you learn though after the first time, why not slow down instead of having it towed 10 times? The wiper motor thing gets me too. The most sold vehicle platform, and they let it get...
  6. Dear @FordMotorCompany

If you’re going to sell a product that is heavily reliant on software —- take responsibility for the software! Btw, most cars with the 80-90% daily charge scheme have very little buffer up top. A couple percent at most, not 5. This has been shown with internal documents on some of the well...
  7. Loud surge/boom and then electric static from speakers

Since they are owner-submitted, they are listed under a few different categories. Typically "unknown or other," "electrical system" and "equipment." NTHSA page for Ford F150 Super Cab - scroll to the bottom, click complaints, and read the individual reports. Some of these are Lightnings, most...
  8. Loud surge/boom and then electric static from speakers

Can anyone confirm that the issue stopped after receiving this update? I went to the NHTSA page today and there are dozens more reports, including one today.
  9. Is anybody getting summer freeway range over 250 miles?

I would see 220ish miles at 75 mph, extended range. Did a bunch of long trips while I had my truck. That meant stopping every 120 miles or so for 25-40 minutes to charge. That line up with other people’s experience? I had suspected the battery on my truck was mishandled by the dealer (left at...
  10. TheVerge: ‘I’m out’: Ford’s F-150 Lightning price hikes are costing it customers

$40k was what brought me in too. Then $40k became $58k for the base model and I decided to spend $82k on a Lariat ER and have it right away. The original $39,999 was truly a bait and switch. If you got one, that's awesome-- but they never intended to stick to that obviously temporary price.
  11. Fist Fight at charging station

I bought my first CCS EV in 2020 and would say it was always a mediocre charging experience. From mid 2022 onward, as more people bought EVs it became mediocrity x full capacity.
  12. Exploring trip that was great until it wasn't

I would want an in-depth explanation including photos. Ford service techs, like most traditional dealer service centers, are inexperienced with EVs. That said, I’ve heard about EV batteries being punctured by ice kicked up from the wheels. The lack of protection in many (most?) of these...
  13. Rivian to Provide Free Tesla NACS Adapter

Great post - sounds like Farley really misspoke there. I think saying "everyone that has bought" implies free. But we all know how Ford works by now.
  14. Rivian to Provide Free Tesla NACS Adapter

Didn’t Farley promise a free adapter to everyone in the CNBC interview? I’m still waiting on my charge station from a truck purchase in 2022… they say they are working on it…
  15. GM To Adopt Tesla/NACS Charging Standard

So glad the superior system is winning out.
  16. Battery SOH @ 10K Miles Age 10.5 Months

My truck never hit the EPA range on the GOM, even when finessing it in the most favorable conditions. Maybe 305 once? My feeling is the battery was degraded. I purchased it with several thousand miles and the cocky salesman even bragged that they kept it charged to 100% at all times. Of course...
  17. Estimates on 2022 lightning resale value in 2 years?

If it’s not convenient, don’t use it. They (often) have the best price. I buy and sell a lot of vehicles. CarMax consistently has the best read on the market. Only sold a couple to dealerships and Carvana recently. My buying dealer made a bigger risk to where they almost lost money on the...
  18. Estimates on 2022 lightning resale value in 2 years?

I sold my Lightning in March, and was following CarMax offers for a couple months prior. Prior to that following the overall Lightning sales market. The trucks sit for months on CarMax. Longer than any vehicle I have seen. For my Lightning 12k miles, loaded ā€˜22 Lariat 82k MSRP the final offers...
  19. F-150 Lightning to gain access to Tesla Superchargers! Get standard NACS port starting 2025!

"I remember I was going on vacation with my kids, and my kids would say "hey dad, can we stop there!? That's one of those Tesla Supercharger stations!" ...And I was like no.... kids, we're going to go here behind this building..." Ahahahahaha! ?? Oh, god...
  20. BlueCruise Subscription Price Increased to $800/yr for All Renewals

BlueCruise was a major reason why I went with the loaded ER Lariat over the Pro, which I actually enjoyed the ride of more. ...Oh, and getting it right away :D In my time with the truck (6k miles) it worked exceptionally well for a L2 system. It's not even about if it's worth it. They changed...
