I've called a ton since owning CCS vehicles, but just don't have the time/interest for it any longer.
I will still leave Plugshare reviews, and recommend everyone do that. Then the issues are public, and Electrify America does monitor Plugshare.
Another bait and switch. When I bought my truck I understood that one of the primary selling point features would cost $200 year ($600/3). Charging 4X that is absurd. That price is essentially like stripping a feature from the vehicle because it’s so out of line.
I love this forum. You guys...
Air systems have gotten a lot more robust, with more aftermarket strut options when they fail. I wouldn't spec a luxury vehicle nowadays without air.
@jredondox Curious how much more efficient it is on the highway in the lowest mode. Should be better. Maybe 0.1-0.2 kWh/m. That's my guess at least.
Yeah, I drove a very stripped down Pro, a Lariat SR, and purchased a Lariat ER.
The Pro (sans moonroof) was the quietest, both in terms of wind and noise over bumpy roads. It felt the most isolated. Also the best ride as we've said. I think Edmunds also mentioned the ride quality being better...
I agree with this. The Pro felt a lot softer to me than my ER, and I think better over bumps. The weight difference is noticeable. It's around 700 lbs IIRC.
The daily and trip charge scheme makes the most sense given the tech (balance of longevity, and ability to use more of the battery).
But I would also love to never worry about how much and when to charge ever again. You make a great point.
Glad to hear it worked out.
The whole $39,999 for a full size truck with two motors and a 100 kWh (usable) battery was a huge bait and switch. I’m sure the dozens that got it are rightfully happy though.
The problem with phone recordings is they will compress the audio. Nothing outside of those 18 speakers being pushed to their physical break point will recreate the sound pressure heard, but the NIOSH phone app (completely unpaired to the vehicle -airplane mode, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth off) will give a...
They showed some issues (down chargers, slow rates, glitched software), but overall a far better trip than I could have expected based on past experience.
Man, this is so upsetting and exactly the reason I sold mine (at a big loss).
Good luck, and please be careful. Hearing is ridiculously precious and hearing loss is permanent.
If you could demonstrate this with a YouTube video, including a decibel meter in the shot (with doors closed) that...
Hmm, I also paid cash but apparently they didn't mark it sold in a timely manner, then a recall was issued further delaying things to the point where it's still not marked sold. TaxmanHog said this was a less common situation, so hopefully they get it soon.
Really appreciate everyone's input.
The truck was purchased in Dec 2022, and the recall came out on Jan 9 2023. Maybe they were too slow with submitting the paperwork to Ford?
I actually bought a vehicle from CarMax with an open recall for a passenger seatbelt sensor (something pretty critical...
My Lightning is long gone and the Charge Station Pro was explicitly not part of that deal.
I have been talking with SunRun for 4 months about the getting them to send the unit (most of which I was in possession of the truck).
Only within the couple weeks I was told that they need Ford to mark...
Radio Exploding sonic boom then alien clicking static
Dangerous B&O sound system issue
+ a bunch of other threads from various F150 forums.
Ford told me that this is "not a known issue."
It was well known that the flipper market for this truck died last summer.
I’ve received dozens of contacts from dealers trying to get me to buy trucks this year.
If you want one, they are not hard to find.
