Yup!
Change 1 was:
BdyCM 726-62-01 FROM: 0201 0050 00E3 TO: 0001 0050 00E3
Change 2 was:
IPMA 706-01-01 FROM 0E00 8015 0ABC TO: 0E00 8014 0ABC
That's all I did in FORScan with the "write" function.
In addition, in the BCM Module Firmware Update all I did there was click the "download"...
Ok it's getting weirder (and worse). I didn't want to mess with Forscan any more until I heard back but I did a search for "precollisin assist unavailable" and one tip was to disconnect the 12v. I've done this before to change my steering wheel. no prob.
I disconnected it, reconnected it...
Ok, I'll wait on the firmware files from him. I just did a test drive in the mean time-the vehicle seemed to run just find EXCEPT it said "pre-collision assist unavailable" and the driver display did not show the driving assist.
Is it possible I messed something up with the wiring for that?
Another issue. I disconnected FORScan after playing around and plugged it back in. I suddenly got a bunch of errors. All of the modules in fact showed DTCs.
I disconnected and reconnected and when I did I did not select my first vehicle save, instead letting it rescan everything. This time...
Ok, I was able to get everything up and running and I went ahead and saved each module's AB and labeled each with todays date and identifier for which it was before changes.
I then did two small changes-I turned off the panic button on my key fob and the reverse brake detection thing off. Both...
I considered doing that, but I was able to get it running and have the OBDlink ex that was delivered updated to the latest firmware and make changes! So far so good...now I have to figure out how to do the module firmware update so I can make the changes for the passive entry.
Perfect Thank you. Now to get it all working on my M1 apple silicon Mac hahah. (I was going to just use a buddy's windows laptop but realized I may want to have it myself for longer-ACC has got to be up next after all!)
Thanks for the link and the tip. I downloaded my ab file from that site with my vin and also saved a PDF of all of the lines as well just in case.
Two of the tutorials I've now seen both start with saving copies of the "As-Built" modules prior to making any changes. Does downloading this ab...
That sounds like really good advice! I am planning on watching a YouTube video or two on how it works. Are there any reference documents/instruction/posts other than the one you mentioned in your first post that I should be sure and review?
I purchased the extended license and emailed but they replied to me already and said that I don’t need 2.4 and they did not give me a link. Here’s what they said:
Ok, so, great news…I got everything physically installed! Everything works and is back together and I’m excited for the firmware steps.
I don’t know why (inexperience) I thought the laptop connected via USB. I now see I need to order something from Amazon. Can you confirm that all I need is...
wow man. That would be amazing and I’d be more than happy to pay you for that! Amazing!!
In the mean time I’ll go ahead and work on all of the electrical connections and forscan tomorrow and update you.
I really appreciate your help and guidance!! Have a great evening :)
hahhaaha! Thank you so much for the answers. I so appreciate it.
Just confirming-the “plastic” you say to remove is the semi-transparent plastic film that is held by the black rubber glue. Is that right? That plus the speaker provides the primary access?
I’ll finish tomorrow.
my problem...
hi! I hope that offer to help still stands lol. I have the door off, and the new button installed. I now have a couple questions:
1. I have the door panel off but the inner and outer steel doors are together still. Am I supposed to take that apart somehow? I watched the YouTube you posted and...
It works. I have one and used it to jump the lightning. I had a dead 12v (separate issue-the replacement seems like it’s now dying) and rather than deal with a tow I got one of the battery jumpers from Amazon and it worked perfectly.
Hmm...that's interesting. The adjustment handle on mine has never seemed particularly tight. I guess I just have to make another service appointment. I think the tech thinks it has to be the track because replacing the track "fixed" it for a while and now it just happens to be back again. After...
Hi! I have a 2023 Pro and totally love it. The only real issue I’ve had is these darn squeaky seats. Upon delivery the drivers seat was really bad. I took it in on day two and they said they had to replace the track. That seemed to do it! Awesome!!
until the passengers seat started doing it. It...
