There a huge difference in ev subsidies and oil and gas subsidies.
In most Oil subsidies are a reduction in arbitrary taxes or fees. Instead of amalugated acme oil and gas paying 20 million in fees, rights, and taxes, they pay 15 million.
EV subsidies are being used as a tool for wealth...
Thank you gentlemen.
Ford roadside assistance came, hooked up the battery, tender, it took about a minute, but it started.
Looks like I need a new battery
Hello, I stopped at a customers house- here maybe 20 minutes.
Turned off truck upon arrival.
20 minutes later attempted to start truck, greeted with steering trailer brake error, stop safely, parking brake error, frunk open, etc. and can’t start.
12v battery?
Can I just try jumping this...
I had a similar reaction after my first road trip on I-75 ?
This was about a year ago.
I run at 40psi. When road tripping in the Lightning, which is not often, I’ve been conditioned to just set the cruise at 65 for the interstate. It’s the only way to get anywhere without stopping to charge...
240v isn’t more efficient in terms of saving money for energy. It’s more efficient in moving electrons through smaller wire than the same amount of energy using 120v.
You still pay the same for the amount of energy consumed.
We’re pretty close, same boat for sure.
Today, October 1, mine still says estimated shipping date in September.
I’m sure it will get here, eventually.
Extremely helpful, I hope other EV manufacturers follow suit.
I’m glad this is a Ford thing, and not a taxpayer funded thing. My hat is off to the guys at Ford for following through on this.
I could be wrong, and it’s been a while since I’ve dealt with UL, but I thought receiving UL certification required a listing number be given with the certificate?
At any rate, I see the extension plug being exponentially more dangerous than the plug alone. (Not saying I’m against them, a...
I don’t like my lightning. I love it!
Despite its limitations at interstate speeds in my standard range, the shear elegance of this truck can’t be understood until you’ve driven it.
Just do your homework, and understand that your driving habits are going to change. Buy a truck with a 240 mile...
I just received this message on my screen. 2023 pro standard range. Coincidentally, the startup chimes were coming out of a tiny speaker, and not through the audio system as usual.
I’ve never seen it before. I stopped at a client’s house, was there about 10 minutes, and when I went to leave...
Login to Ford.com (not for pass app)
Go to “my account” and you’ll see a status button for the adapter. It’s not a tracking number until it ships. It will be an estimated arrival month until then.
Login to your ford account, this link should get you your status
6.5 installed here too. 23 Pro made in Oct
Update: started the truck after the update this morning, available power dropped to 64%. In the lifetime of the truck, it’s never been below 100
Update 2: let sit for a couple hours (off) everything normal, power back up to 100 all seems good :)
In my region it’s only a 5 year program. Perhaps in the other FPL region it’s 10, or it has been changed to 5 years?
You can cancel the program, but it seems to be decided on a purchase basis of one year.
I just went to fpl.com evolution website and looked at the frequently asked questions...
Two things:
1) It’s a 5 year program, not 10.
2) You're forgetting about the unlimited free (off peak) charging part of the program. My total fuel cost has been reduced to $372 annually, which is just the $31 month subscription fee, which included the charger and install. I used to spend...
My pro acts exactly the same. Cycling the ac off/on again and the hum vanishes, climate control works perfectly. I can’t imagine that this is a sign of health. Did you ever investigate, or take it to the dealer?
Seems a pretty fair review. It’s a bit more expensive, and higher quality than I’d imagined. The software and user interface seem miles ahead of Ford, but hard to really tell in such limited time.
Just an FYI: I’ve used the Jack three times now, and it’s worked great every time. The only issue I had was wrapping it back up in the sack, I have no idea if I’m pointing it the right direction when I put it back.
I’m no lawyer, however, iirc, some cases aren’t decided by right/wrong. Judgements can be given for being 95% wrong, but 5% right.
I recall an accident where a car rounded a blind corner, and hit a man who just stopped his car in the middle of the oncoming lane. The car that was parked in the...
