What a pile of horseshit!
The “right thing” for the dealers to do is milk people for all they got. Expecting an industry built on fleecing people to self regulate is delusional. It’s so bad that it literally caused one of the oldest car makers in the world to make changes.
Yea same boat here but we desperately needed a second car and was able to pick up a Model Y Performance 3 days after ordering. It will hold its value well till the Lightning comes in and makes the wait a little bit easier.
ICE cars that need constant servicing(oil changes, filters etc) are where a dealership that handles servicing makes sense, especially when you have 5 dealerships nearby. This model doesn’t work for EVs at all.
Dozens of dealers out of 1000s? Sounds like a lottery to me. Meanwhile a direct to consumer model ensure everyone gets the same price. The best car buying experiences I have ever had have been with minimal dealership interaction.
The dealership model makes no sense for EVs and Ford knows it.
Is this sarcasm? Have you not seen the ADMs on Lightnings that range from $3k to $20k??
There are literally spreadsheets on spreadsheets tracking which dealers are adding ADM or not.
Oh man, don’t give me hope. If that is available it would be sub $600 for the XLT SR in NY. Of course this is assuming interest rates aren’t ridiculous.
