We're veering way off topic here so if you don't want to have your beliefs of loans/financing and general financial positions challenged and are easily triggered by someone who actually has real life experience that may go against what you hold to be true... don't read this post any further...
The $35k Model 3 was a thing. It was brief but it was a thing. It's also something that many said wasn't possible at the time. Conversely, nobody said a $40k Lightning wasn't possible. Some credit for that goes to Tesla. Granted the value of a buck has changed but still.
As for Cybertruck, it's...
Oh... I can change my color too? I paid the 500 bucks for the red and I really dig it but now I'm not sure that I don't like the blue just as much which was a free option.
I was afraid to previosuly because I didn't want my production date to get delated over such a thing. Can I do this now and keep everything intact or will Ford punish me for simply wanting them to not have s a line worker chuck an extra box in the completed truck and give me my $500 back?
My guess is they may have a less expensive version later on but why cannibalize sales from the more expensive one if people are willing to pay it to be "first"?
This is what Tesla did successfully to launch an entire company. Sell the most expensive cars to keep the lights on while you ramp up...
The difference is you fill your tank in 2 minutes, maximum. You can look at the display and it really doesn't matter how quickly it's filling so nobody cares because it's the difference in a few seconds either way. A decrease in fill rate also doesn't necessarily indicate there's a potential...
I'm not sure what you're talking about here.
My Teslas (as well as most other EVs other than the ones made by Ford) use the MPH charge rate method. It works fine. My cars all tell me approximately how much the current charge rate is based on an easy to understand metric: MPH. So if it's...
For sure.
I don't want it to sound like I'm a commercial for Tesla. There are some glaring issues with Tesla so it's not all gum drops and daises Tesla Land but this is one area in which they do exceedingly well. I'll give credit where credit is due in hopes to help get the word out. Hopefully...
Using this more current data (although admittedly a small sample size) than what I've seen previously it seems as though it's roughly a month from production to delivery. Based on that I'd say my odds aren't zero but probably close to it.
Who knows, maybe they'll hit a burst in production as...
I'm sure you didn't mean this with your wording but Ford didn't start it. It's a term that was coined by mid/rear-engine exotic cars for decades even before Tesla popularized it which is why most people commonly think of a Tesla whenever they hear the term "frunk" these days. Nobody owns it...
We are still getting support and upgrades on 10-year-old cars. The app is the same for all of the cars. You create a Tesla account and then add your car to your account and they magically show up in the app. You can then swipe left to right to manage each car, regardless of year or model. The...
Depends on implementation of the app. On our Teslas, all features on the app are free and the number of features on the app are FAR greater than anything else I've seen from other manufacturers. It's crazy how much stuff you can do from the app on a Tesla and features are continually added on a...
I got the 12/12 production email... w00t! Had my reservation confirmed within a few minutes after they were opened up on 5/19.
Rapid Red Lariat SR here (although I wish it was an XLT ER at the previous sub-$80k price tag). Here's to hoping the ramp-up of production takes a big leap forward in...
I just got a production date for week of 12/12.
I'm curious how things have been as of late for those who have had recent production dates. Not so recent that they're in the same boat as me but more about recent enough to provide representative current data.
I know that's only three...
