In a thread over on another forum someone had mentioned that Costco's card was providing cash back for EV charging. Something about the specifics state that the charger had to be @ Costco but people were confirming that it was working at any location. I don't have a Costco card to test this out...
If you think 10k miles is a good interval to rotate your tires to prolong their life on something like a heavy EV with endless torque... you're in for a rude awakening.
Most independent tire shops recommend 5k or some even as low as 3k on these types of cars even at their own resource expense...
Ford needs to realize what Tesla did: regularly scheduled maintenance intervals on an EV are pointless. Especially during the factory warranty term. If you need new wiper blades or your windshield washer fluid needs topped off... you know.
This is another example of legacy manufacturers...
That's what I assumed as well, unfortunately for me. There were still some areas on the Ford site that showed the lower price when I placed my order but I knew what I was getting into so figured it wouldn't apply to me. Still holding out hope that something will happen before the truck is built...
Just so I'm clear, this is for people who were invited to order a 2022 and Ford wasn't able to produce enough to fulfill all of those orders and they got bumped to 2023, right? This doesn't apply to people like me who weren't invited to order after the 2023 details and pricing increase was...
That's going to create some issues and I really hope that's in a forthcoming firmware update as it's incredibly important for the end user to be able to manually lower the draw.
Example use cases would be that you find yourself at an RV park out in the middle of nowhere and their electrical...
Nope. As of right now that's the only way to charge 30A @ 240v is to have the truck "running" in it's current firmware configuration. There's cooling that takes place for the inverters should they begin running warm so my guess is that this is the requirement to be able to power the management...
Either a software issue, a temp sensor issue or there's a genuine issue with the supplemental cooling of one or both motors. Is the coolant level on these trucks user-serviceable? Either way, I'd contact Ford immediately and I wouldn't drive it as it could leave you stranded.
Can you elaborate on the "it has some very specific use cases" as compared to AP1 because I use that everywhere. So far, from what I'm reading, it seems like the delta between AP1 and BC is quite large and this delta is exactly what I'm referring when I say it seems like it's not worth it at...
I can't neither confirm nor deny but if that ends up being the case I will immediately change my order to include the big battery pack at a minimum. It would also make sense since SO many trucks/SUVs are barely under $80k w/o the most popular items people include. We really need to incentivize...
I wouldn't hold your breath. I gave up on that fairy tale years ago.
I will say though that, for as much as I (and most others now) bag on the newer "FSD" and it's lack of features, the previous iteration of Autopilot (starting in 2014 with Autopilot 1 aka AP1) remains a fan favorite. It just...
One other thing, has Ford historically allowed the purchase of software options after delivery is taken? If I miss something and then realize after I take delivery that I wish I had it and it's a software toggle... can I pay for that to be turn on or has Ford taken the traditional approach to...
That was a good video. Just to clarify, everything in that video was the option I mentioned, right? In other words, if I decide to not opt for that package I don't get the feature where the cameras read speed limit signs and adjust my cruise to be whatever -/+ I specify or adaptive cruise...
No, this has been helpful. I think that the package isn't really worth the $2,200 for me as I don't anticipate towing or much of what you described. I love Autopilot on our other cars and use it almost exclusively but, at least from what I've seen, the BlueCruise doesn't offer the same...
Can someone please tell me what this is:
Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 with Tow Technology Package
Information is very limited and it seems like this is required for the BlueCruise thing which appears to have some growing to do yet to be useful. Active Park Assist is also included but I don't...
