  1. A(nother) Tailgate Mod Thread

Yes. I am not an expert, but I'd say for the trim levels with the light bar, the big blue oval in the center becomes a smaller blue oval off to the driver's side.
  2. A(nother) Tailgate Mod Thread

Yeaaaah... sadly, I made the mods I wanted to make on my truck, not the mods you want to make on your truck. Silly me.

Yours looks great too. I did the black out flag in the sliding rear window, and I have a Veteran plate (waiting for it to transfer to this vehicle) with the flag so doing a flag within the F-150 on the tailgate would've been too much.

I know it's been done multiple times, but I can't help but show how I made my truck more unique to me. Standard looking rear of a black Lariat... Mine after today... SciFi Nerd Badge #1 (kudos to you if you get this reference) SciFi Nerd Badge #2 (everyone knows this one) Most of...
  5. Comma AI self driver assistant

That's actually really good to know. When I see videos where someone is supposedly reviewing a product that has a non-trivial value, and I know they got theirs for free, it always makes me question just how honest they are being... or when they are a bigger channel and they likely have some kind...
  6. Comma AI self driver assistant

I drive 1K miles per month. Sometimes less. I am in north florida, but make frequent trips to central florida for both work and to help my elderly parents out with various things they need (mostly medical). I do 100 miles each way three weeks p/m, but then stick pretty close to home aside from...
  7. Comma AI self driver assistant

Tesla's up front take rate on FSD (which is arguably far ahead of anyone else's system as they've been working on it the hardest) is 15%. That's why I figure the competitor's native systems (Blue Cruise, Super Cruise, etc), which are inferior would see a far smaller percent than that.
  8. Comma AI self driver assistant

Because I have never had any sort of full self drive anything, I became curious about this. My Lighting came to me at exactly 3 years and 1 month, so BC wasn't something I could experiment with. That said, it would be a big mental shift for me to trust either the Ford BC or a Comma. Like many...
  9. Acceleration anxiety

Acceleration Anxiety for me was when a friend who drives a MS Plaid launched it in an industrial area, but didn't let off the accelerator at 60, 70 or even 80... like, hey man, this road is only straight for so long and you do NOT want to try to turn this thing are this speed. All good tho, he...
  10. '22 Lariat to '22 Platinum (Unicorn 🦄) Upgrade

Shop type tint for comparison... a little darker and more glossy. To me it does look a little nicer, but does it look $600 worth of nicer?
  11. '22 Lariat to '22 Platinum (Unicorn 🦄) Upgrade

Now that there was funny, I dont care who ya are! Two ways to go about it. The more expensive way, but maybe the better final product, is to find any local Wrap shop. They have multiple options for film meant to cover lights, some are completely black in the day, but do affect the...
  12. Lightning Commuter 88 miles a day KWh chart December 2024-July 2025.

As a previous F-150 owner who frequently got into work site and parking lot discussions with other 150 owners, I never met anyone who said they were averaging 20 mpg with a V8. I loved my truck, and it had the indestructible old cast iron V8 from the first Raptor (it was just the rest of the...
  13. After a year and a half.....

Yep, this right here is the reason to be on the forums. Thanks guys... just went into the system and turned it off. Just in time as I have a trip the day after tomorrow.

As a cost analyst, I could totally see myself doing something exactly like this in time. I'm only 3 weeks into ownership, so I am still in the early stages of learning. My big recent discovery was that the AC and ventilated seat really do effect efficiency. It's been 100 degrees lately here in...
  15. After a year and a half.....

I think this is my third week of owning my Lariat ER. Like others have said many times in many places, I just can't imagine going back. And this truck specifically had the familiarity of the F-150 (it didn't try to be something new or quirky or extreme), but with the improvements of an EV. The...
  16. Introductions & Welcome Thread 👋

I was going to go with Raven, which I think works well for a black truck... but my friend named his daughter that, so I felt like I couldnt go there. I also entertained Lilith. Also a dark woman's name. Supposedly the first witch, depending on who's historic interpretation you read. End the...
  17. Introductions & Welcome Thread 👋

Welcome! She looks superclean. Give her a name yet?
  18. Lane keeping and bluecruise absurdly annoying. Can’t drive with it.

The thing about having an engineer for a friend... it's both an annoyance and a benefit... they live to solve problems. He is fascinated by my truck, being an electrical engineer. He asks me about it every few days. I told him I finally found something annoying, and that was the stupid "Watch...
  19. Tailgate mod

My Veteran Plate already has the flag, so I am going with blue to match the cyan blue (kinda) accents. But yeah, it looks great man!
