  1. 12V Emergency Charger

I'm explaining, you're arguing, and no longer with me. I have extensive experience in electrical/electronics. I know what I'm talking about. Go right ahead and listen to the marketing fodder and drain your wallet if you like, makes no difference to me.
  2. 12V Emergency Charger

The only difference since you seem to want an argument, is the discharge curve, the LFP is pretty flat from start to finish, the SLA aka AGM has a constant drop from start to finish. If anything, It'll keep the main HVB from having to charge it as often. FYI genius, I've had a 12v lithium in my...
  3. 12V Emergency Charger

The voltages are near identical, it won't make any difference. I've already proven this with the battery array for my home solar system. The inverter is set for lead acid which is what agm is and charges them just fine. If you're concerned about compatibility, don't buy one. My post was not a...
  4. Winter Range Extender - would you do this?

No I would not buy it. 1) Still under warranty. 2) Doesn't get cold enough for long enough. 3) My commute is 4 miles round trip.
  5. 3D Printing Fun

PETG-CF. If it fails I'll do one up with PA6-GF. I doubt PLA would stand up to the heat.
  6. Need touch up paint. What is the BEST!?

I would be correct, you indeed paid for it one way or another. That much is certain.
  7. Need touch up paint. What is the BEST!?

Nothing is free, I guarantee you paid for that paint pen.
  8. Need touch up paint. What is the BEST!?

It's never going to be perfect unless sanded down and spot painted/blended to match. It's just something to help appearance, not replace.
  9. Need touch up paint. What is the BEST!?

I always buy a touch up pen from Ford for my vehicles. Or I'll go to a local body shop and let them scan the paint finish so they can make me a small batch for touch up.
  10. Ford App update is terrible

Progressive at least gave you notice, those bastards didn't tell me anything after I added the new truck to my existing plan, they just upped it over $400 more/year. I dumped them and went back to Geico and saved a little over $200/yr difference. The setting for sharing data with insurance is...
  11. 2024 Platinum - Power Running Boards Retract Too Often

Fords running boards are a well known issue with my other trucks generation, it's possible Ford listened to people complaining and changed suppliers. Like you I don't base my purchases on IF it might fail, just relating personal and professional experience on this topic.
  12. Almost to 36k final service

Ignore the txt. Follow vehicle recommendations in the owners manual. Maintenance is not included unless you purchased a separate maintenance plan.
  13. Ford App update is terrible

It won't share with insurance unless you are able to slide the greyed out switch that directly mentions insurance.
  14. Ford App update is terrible

Tap the lightning bolt icon? to change to the charging screen where the slider is located. If that doesn't work, clear cache and data from the app, then uninstall it, reinstall and carry on.
  15. Almost to 36k final service

We drive a computer that looks like a Ford truck. Virtually no maintenance. (y)
  16. Would you trade a 2024 ER Lariat for a 2023 Platinum

I wouldn't have my truck without 9.6 ppob. I use it in conjunction with a home solar system to augment storage capacity for grid failures. Something to think about.
  17. Almost to 36k final service

Not much other than rotating the tires, cab filter and checking everything over visually. It's all listed in the owners manual.
  18. 2024 Platinum - Power Running Boards Retract Too Often

Depends on the brand, the AR boards I put on my other truck are still going strong after 12 years, never a single issue. I don't know who Ford gets their boards from but they are an irritant with many due to defects and have been for at least a decade.
  19. 2024 Platinum - Power Running Boards Retract Too Often

Hmm, Not sure how Ford's strategy on this is worked out but the retractable steps (Amp Research) I installed on my other truck only deploy when a door is opened and retract when it's closed, only the side the door is opened on will deploy/retract. They do not deploy for any other reason than...
  20. Painless Putco 60" Blade tail light install.

You could put a 4 wire connector on it that would be plug-n-play, or splice into the wires behind the sockets like the video.
