  1. Problem Solved - Fordpass App cannot access charging schedule, saved locations, charge logs, charging details, Departure times.

I get that message constantly and tried everything to fix it, but no joy. I really hope you can figure this out so you can explain to me how to fix it permanently.
  2. Prediction - Ford will move charge port location

And here I thought I was the only one that... distracted? How 'bout they remove the silly gear shift knob and repurpose that effort into a remote charge port closer? :)
  3. Taxman's Lightning Chronology

How does someone in Kentucky think they know more about my electricity plan than I do? Some places in California are expensive, true, but California is a very big place. My off-peak rate (i.e., the one that counts for charging) is just barely more than yours. @TaxmanHog, this thread is...
  4. Living with the Standard Range battery in the Lightning

My SR has about 6K miles on it now. My routine use is a 70 mile round trip with a 3700' elevation change. Going down, I usually see 3+ mKh and I feel like an EV god. Coming back up? I'd really rather not go there (1.1 mKh in the winter). The occasional 150-200 mile trip (one way) is...
  5. Article: How Ford’s F-150 Lightning, Once in Hot Demand, Lost Its Luster

Couldn't agree more! Most F150s will never see gross weight and never haul a trailer (and never need 4-wheel drive). They are used to run to the grocery, pick up/drop off the kids, and just do the things we do every day around town. So long as you can charge at home, the Lightning is a...
  6. Charge now instead of wait for preferred charge time?

I agree with you 1000%. There should be manual controls in the truck to control charging without having to resort to changing some default setting and/or using an app on your phone. The truck should be able to control itself and you should be able to control your truck.
  7. FordPass and charging NOW?

Update, 2 points: 1.) To everyone telling me that there is a connectivity issue with my phone, that's EXACTLY my point. If it requires me to have a phone app and good connectivity to charge my vehicle, then someone at Ford needs to rethink how they designed this product as there is a...
  8. FordPass and charging NOW?

Should have started with... I'm at home, 80% charged per my normal settings. I'd like to bump it up to 100% as I had a trip pop up unexpectedly. Cell coverage here is very poor. I have a "charge to 100%" button in FordPass, but it's greyed out/not active. I tried all the things in the...
  9. FordPass and charging NOW?

Tried turning it on and off. Tried unplugging, plugging back in. No change. This isn't really a request for help. It's a request for Ford to rethink their user interface design. Unless you have good internet/cellular connectivity, you are crippled. It wouldn't be the end of the world if a...
  10. FordPass and charging NOW?

Simple question. I want the truck to charge right now. I need it to ignore departure times, charge schedules, and everything else because changing them gets me "try again later." FordPass has a "Charge to 100%" button, but all I get is "try again later." How is it possible that there isn't...
  11. PG&E tier1 price in past 22 years

Here's from the PGE rate page for the EV2 schedule (I'm in Placer County):
  12. Extended Range V.S Standard Range Battery

XLT SR, and I wish I'd gotten the ER. It was fine in the summertime, but right now dealing with both cold and elevation has the truck routinely between 1.2 and 1.4 mKh. My typical trip to town these days leaves me scraping home with <20 miles left in the battery. It works, but I'd sure like...
  13. Charge Assist (Public Charging) is Rolling Out!

I hate to be "that guy," but based on the current software I'm skeptical. Absolutely LOVE the truck, but not enough words to tell you how amateurish and poorly designed the software is.
