This is caused as a side-effect from a recent GWM update. If when you check for updates, you get the spinning circle thing and it gets stuck there and does not go anywhere, then the correct fix is to pull the negative cable from the 12v for 20 minutes or so. Once you go check for updates again...

FDRS is the software techs use to diagnose vehicles and you can also manually install updates with it. With FDRS, you do not need to wait for OTA's, but the updates you get with the OTA process or FDRS are one and the same.

Just tried it and I don't see options for those things in my Fordpass. I guess I've been missing out this whole time and didn't even know it. Unless it is only for the EVs? Wish I could be of more help with this.

In FDRS, click the IPMA module and scroll down to where it lists all the file names and see what it says next to location F188.

If it's still there, then it needs to be done again. Truck is fine? No faults on the dash?

Did the IPMA update come off the list in SW updates tab? If so, turn off the truck and let it sit for 20 minutes. Restart the laptop, run FDRS and click the IPMA module to bring up the list of guided routines you can do on it. Run the IPMA config procedure.

That's an old thread.....probably before the newer IPMA software was available that improves ASAS performance.

I believe it does it in about half the time, yes. However, for the difference in price, the Mongoose and 3 hours is just fine by me. lol

It writes faster than the Mongoose....that's it.
