The NH Dealer I purchased my truck from as an L2 charger that can juice up your Truck when in for service - if needed. They have indicated they will not be EV-certified and will not install any DC fast chargers. They do have 1 EV-certified tech and 1 EV-trained tech. I have never tried after...
I got the BMS CSP. This might explain why no updates have been pushed to my truck. Not to see if my "non-EV certified" dealer can replace it on Friday? hope I can call them to order the part.
The biggest issue I had in the first 1500 miles was that the front sensor was "blocked" easily by snow and rain. I wonder if there ever will be an option for heated cameras that would eliminate this issue. The other "issue" is after two months, I still do not have any updates on my truck is...
Love the Lightning and try to drive it every day - but sometimes need to take a business trip or leave it in the garage for a week. Should I leave the Lightning plugged in and charged 85-90%? Do not want the 12V battery to drain little access to the Frunk in the garage.
I had very similar issues - be sure your dealer has formally done the paperwork to complete the sale. I purchased on OCT 21, the dealer closed the sale on OC 24 and then Sunrun started their clock on 10/27 when they received the sold indicator from Dealer or Ford. Each thread must be done...
For those luckiest 2023 builds to actually get an update (yes there is sarcasm in my post as all I get are reminders to re-up streaming) - what was your blend date - Are any people with blend/build dates in AUG/SEP of this year getting updates? Thank you in advance.
Completely understand. Too bad - it's a great truck (once you get it :) - but Ford's communications in the delivery and with dealers are terrible. This includes post-delivery also.
This was eye-opening to me. Looks like conflicting state and charger company requirements and the slow government process of these types of projects has really hurt this effort. I looked at a couple of NE state NEVI planning reports (VT, MA) and they are not very far. We need much more than...
Thanks for this insight. I drive between NH, VT, and MA and have done a couple of drives in warmer weather (~45 degrees) with a mix of highway and non-highway - never over 65 mph and cabin at 65 pr 66 using seat and SW heating and averaged 2.1 to 2.3 - two petal. Colder drives starting soon.
As a Lightning owner in the Northeast, I am about to enter my first winter with it with no anxieties. But, I am curious, from MA/NH/VT/CT/NY, assuming driving the speed limit and a 50/50 mix of HWY/city driving what percentage of range loss did you have? I am expecting my Lariat ER to lose up...
You are the Man of all knowledge - I cycled he breaker and now when I connected with the FCSP it shows the update complete. Now if only I could get OTAs to my truck :)
When you have an update pending for the FCSP is is best to power cycle (turn off/on the breaker) - or is there a way in Ford Pass to cycle the FCSP? I noticed the FCSP appears to be slowing charging with update peding?
