  1. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

That’s very interesting- where did you find this? I just got my truck back from the shop today for this very reason- they couldn’t reproduce the issue (understandable it’s pretty random). Naturally- it did it three times on the drive home and we’re back to square one. I’ve been in contact with...
  2. When do you plan to replace your high voltage battery?

I think even when it no longer meets your needs, you could repurpose it as a storage unit for a rather powerful solar array.
  3. When do you plan to replace your high voltage battery?

Simple- when it no longer meets my needs. Why would anyone replace it sooner?
  4. Extended Range V.S Standard Range Battery

I’m not sure how to answer your poll, as I’ve already ordered (and received) my lighting PRO SR. When I ordered, there was roughly a 15k price difference to get an XLT ER. However, by the time my order went though, and it was time to pick it up, I contemplated cancelling and buying an in-stock...
  5. Tesla Supercharger access for Ford EVs estimated to begin February 2024 (by Tesla)

I pulled up a few YouTube videos of Ford charging at Tesla Stations (that are properly fitted). It’s pretty slick how the J1772 adapter is built into the system. However, the thing that stuck out more than that was the cost. I believe it was 51 cents per KWhr. on the video I watched. EA gives...
  6. DC Fast Chargers not recognizing 320 mile range

Allow me *hands beer to rest of forum I have an SR and just road tripped 900 miles (round trip) The longest stretch I could manage was 135 miles before recharging. Most stops were right around 100 miles. I love the truck- (disclaimer for those that are about to defend the truck) and I bought it...
  7. Just took a 450 intersate road trip in a standard range lightning. Never again

I feel the same, infrastructure improvement is inevitable. I’m in Southwest Florida (Fort Myers)The road- trip was to Georgia.
  8. Are we losing the EV Revolution?

But it is not a known fact. It may be known theory. In fact, I could argue that nothing could be more green than using decomposed organic matter as fuel. I will also say that much of what I’m saying is to garner a reaction. The simple fact is anyone that says with conviction that this is...
  9. Just took a 450 intersate road trip in a standard range lightning. Never again

I did that regularly pre-Covid, before rental prices increased exponentially. And, as mentioned previously (not you but some seem to take this the trucks interstate traits personally) I love the truck, it fits my needs perfectly. I didn’t buy it to be a road warrior. It was bought for use as...
  10. Just took a 450 intersate road trip in a standard range lightning. Never again

The weather was great, high 50’s to mid 60’s throughout. The spacing of the chargers wasn’t perfect, but was pretty close to realistically ideal. Had hoped to make the first leg about 160 miles and only 2 charging stops (started at 96% SOC) but quickly changed plans to 3 charging stops once the...
  11. Just took a 450 intersate road trip in a standard range lightning. Never again

This truck should come with a disclaimer *not meant for interstate use. Driving at normal interstate speeds, going from 80% SOC to 20 % SOC took all of ~115 miles. Stated average of 1.7 kWh, pencil came to about 1.55 Love it around town, average between 2.7 and 2.9. but this interstate...
  12. Side alerting but nothing there

My 10/23 build (so far) has solely been the 2nd one in on the front passenger side having intermittent fits.
  13. New Lightning grill

That’s nice. I would love that for my PRO. Looks like I’m going to have to get used to disappointment ?
  14. Side alerting but nothing there

2023 made in the 3rd or 4th quarter? Perhaps anecdotal, but it sure seems quite a few here are having this issue (myself included) with very, very recently manufactured trucks.
  15. 3 INTERMITTENT issues less than 1k miles FRUSTRATED.

My coolant overheated (right after starting on a 73 degree day parked in the shade) Drove a few minutes all became normal. Happened once. I keep getting a sensor [front]blocked issue (same sensor every time.) once or twice a day, or every other day. Vanishes like it was never there after 30...
  16. Front sensor blocked

Well, I’m dropping mine off at the dealership next week. The sensor error has been happening intermittently multiple times per day, or every other day, for about week. No rain perfect weather (high in the mid 70’s) lows in the 60’s I don’t yet have 1,000 miles on it, and just want it fixed...
  17. Question about real battery capacity, charging to “100%” (notice the quotes)

Thats teeeific information. but this is why it’s important (and as of yet unknown) just how much is charging to a displayed value 100% really charging to 100% of real capacity, or 80%, or anything else for that matter. . It appears the test results in the video are from testing batteries, and...
  18. Lightning Prices?

Holy moly my Pro was 62 ish out the door (49,9 + tag, title, 6.5%sales tax, and $2500 destination fee. (had about 5k of options) I struggled not opting for an ER Lariat with the 7.5k customer cash-it may have been the better value. But in the end- it’s just a work truck so I opted to just keep...
  19. Question about real battery capacity, charging to “100%” (notice the quotes)

I suspect the battery has, in reality, a substantially higher capacity than 98KW. Keeping SOC in the middle is good- but the difference between 20-80 and 40-60 isn’t as great as it sounds because of this. As someone once said, the truck should be working for you, not the other way around. enjoy!
  20. AC charger 48 or 50 amp

. nonsense. a 50 amp service (80% rule) would require 62.5 Amp wire size, which (at minimum) 6 gage wire fulfills. The length of the run of course could require a larger wire. of course, why anyone would go through the trouble to run anything larger than the largest charger the truck could...
