My SR Pro has multiple personalities. In the city and highways under 55, the truck could go 280 miles from 100% to zero. It’ll average 2.9-3.1 mkH. Truly amazing. Best ride of any vehicle I’ve ever driven. Powerful, quiet, efficient, comfortable.
On the interstate at 75 mph, barely 1/2 that...
The concept is nothing new, diesel- electric trains have been in use for decades, the diesel power plant on these only powers the generator.
it’s a great concept for a truck. The Ram brings this approach to their truck, and the market gets a new approach with a competitive EV concept
There is no reason for the blue oval network to exist. Once you’re signed up with Electrify America, the rates are 25% less expensive. Unfortunately, the blue oval Work was working a little too good after I signed up with Electrify America, and was connecting via the blue oval account and not...
That’s exactly what I mean. That front grill is just asking for a big set of teeth. as far as the fenders, my lack of creativity, becomes apparent, hadn’t even thought of including the fenders.
I’m a terrible artist, and frankly not that creative. But for some reason, I can’t help but wanting to see what some World War II shark art (WWII planes)would look like on the grill of a lightning. Any Photoshop artist out there willing to give it a shot?
Maybe an anomaly, one of my fleet vehicles is a much loved (2003 bought new) f250 7.3 diesel. It’s driven daily, roughly 25k/year. It has 500k miles on it. We’ve never rotated the tires. I’ve replaced them at roughly 75k mile intervals (always Michelin ltx) whether they need it or not. That...
I would find a low mileage dealer buyback in the 50’s. Essentially brand new. There are quite a few on cars.com. They’re sometimes described as salvage title, but are really ford buyback program trucks. It’s in the CarFax report. Most were just waiting for a module that was backordered...
One other issue- the “Ford Lightning Owner” (who is waiting for his own Cybertruck to be delivered in the next week or two) will be using it for work.
I use my Lightning as a work vehicle, and I’ve already had several customers mention with slight amount of snark, “I guess business is good”...
I wish I could say I found this surprising. I recently brought my lightning in for services as well. Somehow, they managed to use 5% of my battery battery on a 5 mile “quality assurance drive.”
I’ll save everyone’s time.
It’s 20 minutes of couple YouTubers talking about nothing any rational human cares about except the funk size difference, followed by a 3 minute drive and a u-turn.
I’m not sure how much you can glean from a 3 minute test drive.
also, the video could accurately be...
On my singular road trip- it may
probably not.
The spacing of the chargers wasn’t absolutely perfect, but it was close. Unlike many others, the chargers weren’t really the issue. It was truck versus interstate. 75 mph is not kind to the lightning.
