Yes unfortunately we can’t have nice things (yet?). My Toyota app tells me all kinds of things I wish the Ford app had, like door lock/unlock status, door open/closed status, rear hatch status, window/sunroof open/closed status.. the list goes on.
There's a setting buried somewhere in the main screen that allows you to disable that horn honk scenario. I disabled mine as soon as I got the truck. Maybe a software update changed your setting on that.
Yeah 56% is the tell tale sign that your front motor is offline temporarily due to some kind of software glitch post OTA update. Luckily for most of us it simply resolves itself after a few truck restarts and/or some light driving around.
Yeah when you see the main battery gauge turn orange/yellow it gets your attention. Unless you drive in “calm mode” all the time, then I’m not sure what you see.
I never realized until I got an EV how wildly different electric costs are throughout the US. As a MA resident paying 0.36 my jaw would drop when I heard about people paying $0.08. I guess it’s just going to keep going up everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised to see $1.00 kWh rates in the...
Interesting. I never saw that CSP for my 2023 Lariat ER. It was built in Dec 2023 so maybe they had already sorted that out. In any case, glad everyone was ok and got the truck off the road safely.
It’s been a poor experience for me as well. I’ve learned you need to have opened the ford app prior to approaching the vehicle and the phone needs to be in your hand like 6 inches from the door handle.
It’s weird that the data is apparently available for the truck to transmit things like if you left a window or door open or if you left it unlocked, etc. If it’s a cost cutting measure then Ford can just introduce “premium” app features like these for like $3.99/month and I’d gladly pay that.
