No change for a '22 Lariat with 10.1.1. Still called Glare Free and no changes to them.

I was afraid I'd pay the price for taking vacation. Returned this evening and 10.1.1 installed on the way home from the airport.

It is not an easy environmental issue. It is a bad design or bad manufacturing or poor engineering. Take your pick. It is an issue, but never disclosed by Ford nor SK On.

I have not had that update. It was not a prerequisite for me.

Well to be honest - I got the follow up email form Ford. It does note Early Access. I don't know how Ford can consider it that however, since it has been out on later model trucks for a number of weeks. I guess it is about being Early for a '22.

God save the '22's. Several just received this in the last hour. Ford does come through - you just never know if it will be in months or years !!!

I won't buy anything for another 4 -5 years likely either and Ford has likely received their last dollar from me. In the coming years the options will continue to mature. I likely won't buy another pickup anyway if this one will hold up for 20 years and be a backup for hauling and battery...

Take the deal for a year - it's about the best you'll get. Then it is a game, remove the credit card or cancel and they'll be offering you the same deal again. If they don't offer the same deal then it isn't worth it and you've got 1000 other ways to hear news.

Thanks for working through that math. I've laughed for a few years when people complain about the prices. I don't like the prices, but truly don't use them often, I'm more commuter than traveler. Either way - they are not cheap to install and run.

I have never done my own updates, but I will add the warning I've learned since you note doing this over a weekend. It is reported often times that the Ford servers are down on Sunday mornings for maintenance.

The Home Integration system is definitely another option, but I'm not proposing that at all and from the problems I read about I wouldn't pay Ford $100 for it. The HIS is definitely not what I was suggesting.

Now imagine the possibilities if you back feed your panel and power the whole house or get you a sub panel and power at least select circuits with just a simple plug in to the truck.
