  1. Software update - If it ain't broke, don't fix it {fixed post#32}

    @Ford Motor Company, this is how you communicate with customers. Please refer this thread to the Chief Talking to Customers Officer. If this position doesn't exist, @rugedraw is a good candidate. Hint: be honest. Tell customers everything you know. They understand far more than you think they...
  2. F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2

    In the APIM easy mode search for "speed" or "at speed." It will bring up all the cameras with options to work at speed. You should be able to see if the option was turned off for the bed camera.
  3. Ford Replaced my Entire Leather Interior

    In addition to my Platinum Lightning my wife has a Navigator with a "Chalet" interior. Yeah, white as snow...our oldest kid is 10. YOLO!
  4. Ford Replaced my Entire Leather Interior

    Mine has bleed through. Probably won't do anything about it since I literally detailed my truck today and didn't notice it.
  5. Can FORScan turn on Slippery Mode and previous Drive Mode for pre-2025 Trucks?

    Yes. AdvanceTrac electronic stability control limits torque in slippery driving conditions. With 775 lb-ft it probably limits torque in non-slippery conditions. It's seemless and you have no idea it's doing anything unless you hold your traction control button for 10 seconds to turn it off...
  6. Priority Update - ACM-25.AH.AR: Audio System [EAP]

    Definitely not but I see the nostalgia appeal. 8-track was before my time, I'm not above obsolete media though. I get my fix with vinyl.
  7. Priority Update - ACM-25.AH.AR: Audio System [EAP]

    I haven't gotten this one yet but I did get the update restoring 8-track radio functionality. I'm hoping the Victrola update comes soon.?
  8. Stop safely…Front motor service needed

    I was going to ask if you had a recent update before I read this. I and others have had one time glitches similar to what you are describing after an update with no further issues. I say forget about until it pops up again.
  9. 2024 Flash APIM AB data restore problem

    Do you have any iterative backups? Maybe load a more recent backup and work backwards until you get to a point where everything is working?
  10. Test drive new to get an idea on used?

    The test dive totally sold me on buying a Lightning. A new truck will give you the feel of any model year. With some research and access to the original window sticker you should be able to figure out exactly what you are buying. Someone might correct me but I believe '22 Platinums have the...
  11. Red Truck Icon of Doom and Stop Safely Now {Fixed Post #24}

    The damage to the truck is on them. If you don't already have a loaner you should be able to get one in light of this. It seems like they may have replaced a perfectly good LVB and are stressing the new one while working on it. What is the name of the dealership? They might fix their mistakes...
  12. 2025 bricked at 1000 miles {fix post 36}

    Everyone knows Ford's motto, "Quality is Job 1." Not many people know the full motto, "Job 2 is Good Enough!"
  13. Soon to be first time buyer - your help deciding year, trim and options?

    This is good information for a MachE and it is good information for a Lightning if you don't close the shade. When the shade is closed radiant cooling is a non-issue.
  14. Ford Lightning one pedal drive

    I can buy that 2PD offers more deceleration and thus more Regen while at a higher deceleration rate. However, the distance covered to a stop will be less if the deceleration rate is higher. In other words, if compared energy added over a certain distance it will be the same. Where it gets...
  15. Software issue on centre screen

    That was the solution to most of the Embraer 170's problems too. Do you work on 320s? I'll try to break one the next time I'm in ATL so we can talk Lightnings.?
  16. Dashboard Display Questions

    On the energy gauge when the line is above 0% you are using energy. When it's below 0% you are adding energy to the battery. When you add energy to the battery, a graphic connects the energy gauge to the SOC gauge. I think these are the blue marks you are describing .
  17. Rear Lightbar Filled with Water a 3rd Time - Got Pulled Over because the Reverse Lights were Shorting Outwere

    Lots of reports of water in the light bar. Report it to NHTSA. If their office is still staffed they might do something about it.
  18. Paint on mirrors and grill flaking

    The chips on the grille are normal. It's a bad design in my opinion. Not covered under warranty. The chipping on the mirror caps is unusual. My truck goes through the carwash on average of at least once a week and doesn't have a single chip in that location. Is your truck exposed to contact...
