I would imagine that FDRS system updates (as opposed to Ford software module updates) are more about updating the FDRS process vs. updating the functionality of any particular module's function in the car.
If my guess is correct, then a slightly older FDRS version should not really affect the...
I'm sorry Your charging times are sometimes messed up now.
I'll note that this update, for my 2023 XLT ER, has stabilized the previously shaky APIM (Sync) interface with my use of Android Auto connection to my smartphone apps. At the same time, the stability of my FCPS TOU night charging times...
FYI - neither does a corresponding program here in Virginia, run by our very dominant electric power company, include the FCSP. I know this because I contacted them personally before installing my Ford Charge Station Pro.
?‍♂️
Your miles/kWh ratio will show up on the IPC screen when You click thru the center display choices.
The m/kWh display is a more accurate gauge of driving energy efficiency than the SOC percentage/miles remaining display once we get used to reading it because the 1st one is factual, while the...
My window sticker lists a "perimeter alarm" in the Safety/Security section. I have no deletions or credits listed under the Cost breakdown.
2023 XLT ER Option / Package 312A, built in Nov 2023.
Yes, this of course helps, especially the connector numbers. Thank You.
On further parts inspection, I see that there are four (4) major trim components in the overhead console.
Two trim panels, both in the inside, are the black cover and the white base for the printed circuit board + motion...
So I pulled down my overhead console on my 2023 XLT ER 312A (pretty much corresponds to the 2024 Flash IMHO) and unfortunately the dummy blue box is missing... and moreover, the console trim shell has only one (1) opening to the cabin where the sensors go... the central one. The two side sensor...
FYI I seem to remember that my 2022 Premium Tech trim Mach E had this system in it... and it worked well and unobtrusively, as far as my memory tells me. I'm investigating my 2023 XLT today for potential installation.
Kudos to the various contributing authors!
Over the past 22 years I've had three Priuses (Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 3), a ord Fusion Energi and a Ford Mach E Mustang.
The Fusion lasted 126 thousand miles and the Mach E lasted 75 thousand miles before I traded.
None of these hybrid & EV cars ever wore out any brake pad or disc.
Today, two+ days after I got this Gateway update I noticed that AutoAndroid, which consistently used to get confused and fail to switch the Sync screen background from dark to white after exiting a dark urban tunnel, or just would have the Sync map go blank after emerging from a highway tunnel...
The truck's modem lives behind the vertical felt panel behind the rear right seat back.
With some slight effort, it can be unplugged and, when desired, plugged back in at desired times.
Of course, the smartphones in our pockets are, let's say, far more ummm, "intrusive", eh?
Folks,
Back in Fall 2024 I bought and installed the RokBlokz mud flaps (the smaller, non-"Rally" version) on my Lightning.
After the 1st, fluffy & dry snow snowstorm here back in January, a second smaller snowfall and a third, heavy & wet snow snowstorm in February, and after several rain...
In mu usage, either size should work.
FYI a portable SSD with a USB C dongle is significantly faster than a USB thumb drive. About $40 or so at MicroCenter.
AFAIK, the "Easy Mode" is just a script that captures the discrete steps of the "Hard Mode".
In other words, the primary value of ForScan programmers' work is reverse-decoding the discrete settings in each separate module, and in some cases reverse-decoding the dependencies between several...
Actually, this attached document is the best-written FDRS updating reference I've seen on two Ford EVs since 2022. Clear, concise, detailed and easy to follow.
Worth printing out and saving in the glove box, IMHO.
