Fingers crossed I have not had a sunroof leak but I have heard this happens to more than a few out there. With it seeming to be clogged drains I decided to rarely open mine. I think I’ve opened it two times in the year plus I’ve had it.
I agree it could be better in the lariat. I think the platinum has like 37 speakers or something silly like that (exaggeration but still). I’ll try the approach of unplugging the center dash speaker. I agree that speaker is so over powering of everything else. I wonder if there is a device that...
Very frustrating. Although it might not seem like it, this could be an EV specific repair (due to how the drive axle connects directly from the EV motor) and you could reach out to the Ford BEV team for assistance. I can’t seem to find the contact info but I’m sure someone on here has it.
That makes sense. The Grizzl E app is saying “here’s what I delivered: 9.15kw” but the Ford app is saying “here’s what I put into the battery after the electrical conversion losses 8.7kw”.
I have this one and I also get 8.7. There’s about a 10% charging loss from plug to truck battery for most chargers that I’m aware of. So 9.6 x .90 =8.64
I saw one of these for sale recently and it got me curious. Does anyone know if there is a scissor lift that could safely lift the weight of the Lightning? Or is this a bad idea? This is a photo of one under an ICE F150.
Well not exactly. The max tow version provides a separate, dedicated cooling system for the battery and motors. Some argue that this helps maintain the health of the battery more effectively in high stress scenarios, like extreme ambient temperatures or during supercharging etc.
Who knows how long it will take but there are some manufacturers that are coming to market with bi-directional chargers. Right now in MA where I live there is a pilot to start using these and the Lightning is listed as one of the few EVs that is capable/compatible...
I’m wondering if anyone has found a warranty for the battery beyond 100k miles/8 years? I was reading about someone on Facebook who had a bad module at 102k miles and out of warranty it cost them almost $8k to replace a module. A couple of bad modules out of warranty could be cost prohibitive.
Unfortunately there are some exposed coolant lines underneath. It’d have to be a one in a million shot like trying to preciously blow up the Death Star, but it has happened with a simple fallen branch to at least one person I’ve heard of.
