Yesterday I was returning our insurance loaner and had to fill up. I have not pumped gas for nearly a year and for about 30 seconds I couldn’t figure why it wouldn’t pump. I realized there are many more steps to this process than “plugging in” the pump hose. I returned the hose and started over. I put in my rewards card, put in my cc, put it in 2 more times because it wouldn’t read it, changed cards, selected the grade, put the hose in, started the pump (3 times because it kept shutting off) and got to pay $33.20 for driving for 3 days.
Today, I’m more appreciative than ever for my Lightning.

After about a year of EV driving I’ve noticed how strong the smell of gas and oil is with our other ICE vehicle, which I never noticed before.

The other day I put diesel into my sprinter for the first time since May of 2024, pretty much 1 year. $103.00 for 22 gallons.
Don't drive it much nor my Nissan NV since buying my Lightning.

I visit the gas station once a year in spring to get gas for my lawnmower. I've been looking at electric lawnmowers but just don't think it would work with my Saint Augustine grass as I like to keep it low cut and even lower before winter when it goes dormant.
I have a 1970 Briggs and Stratton reel mower that I keep in operation.

I replaced our lawn tractor / mower with an electric lawn tractor and it's been fantastic. I can hear my audiobook/podcast while working the yard!

I need a walk behind and the ones I've seen are rotary, My gas rotary mowers never cut St. Augustine low enough for me. Funny thing is I used to have Tall Fescue until my neighbor plant Augustine, Then I had Augustine. That stuff will grown on concrete.

Honda dropped all consumer gas powered mowers last year and replaced them with all electric ones. (Commercial mowers are still gas powered)

I gassed up the wifes car yesterday, last time it got fueled was two months ago, we mostly use the Lightning, I do still visit a couple more times a year for fuel to run the lawn mower and snowblower.

Honda’s own power equipment website says otherwise. 9 non-commercial gas mowers available and 3 commercial

Wow, so much fiddling required...I never realized that EA has gas stations now.

yeah, not sure what's going on with that. they discontinued production of gas mowers in late 2023 but apparently there was a lot of inventory as most dealers still have them. They stated that the BV's would be available in "select dealers in spring 2025.
