This was my exact scenario. I still have the modem disconnect issue and refuse to pull the fuse again, for fear of causing this message or more issues.
By chance were you charging at the time when you reset the fuse?
please report with what software they need to update. I’m on 4.1.1 (12” screen). I’ve read on here that the tsb instructions aren’t super clear on what software actually needs to be installed by the service department.
This 12v business needs to be adjusted. It’s a simple software fix that can adjust the threshold to allow OtaS to go through.
Do the Mach E’s have the same issues related to 12v charging levels?
Finally got annoyed enough. I spoke to my service department and they are unaware of the issue. I’m the 5th Lightning they have sold, so they don’t have any issues yet. They are having me call ford BEV team so they can add the TSB to my VIN so then I can get schedule for an appointment. Does...
yep, that’s what I’m paranoid and need to figure that out before I take it in.
It’s right now just an annoyance so I can go for awhile and hopefully some of you will have some intel on how the TSB went and how long it’s taking to get done.
Keep us updated on what they end up doing. I'm having the intermittent modem issue/ FP not updating. I don't want to take it in and have it sit for weeks until they have a handle on what they need to do.
How did you fix it? Reinstall Ford pass?
I've done the fuse 32 bit, but had another big error code pop up after I started the truck the next time. May be coincidental, but I dont want to pull the fuse again.
My Ford pass worked great until 2 weeks ago. I pulled the Fuse 32 the first time and it instantly reset the modem and Ford pass worked again. I got an unrelated "Stop Safely Now" error starting up the truck. Luckily it didn't come back on later when I attempted to restart the truck.
Again...
This morning I got in the truck to take my kids to school and after unplugging and starting the truck I had the red " Stop Safely" message pop up. I had no other warnings or issues. The truck appeared to be on. I turned it off and turned it back on with the same message appearing. Ford Pass...
I had my first Ford pass freeze today. I ended up pulling fuse 32 and it reset immediately in the app. I'm not sure I want this to be the common solution (or disconnecting the 12V), I hope Ford rolls out a OTA fix soon.
This is a timely thread. I've been researching what the best amperage is to charge. I currently have a 48amp/40amp through my 14-50. I've been setting it for 32amps. My brother has owned his Tesla for a year and charges I think around 24 amps. I can easily charge at 24 amps and make just...
