One more note. Did you connect the A2Z adapter to the NACS cable and then plug into the truck, or did you plug the adapter into the truck and then plug in the NACS cable? Some people here have reported that only one of those procedures works. I know in my case, the first time I tried my brand...
I have absolutely been to chargers that are Plug and Charge, but the cable will not release from the charger until activated. The ones I'm thinking of are L2, not DCFC.
Should help it. I can't get away with that as unless I installed it high enough to walk under it would block the walkway. Putting it that high would likely reduce the effectiveness.
We had a couple of the J1772 cables at work that required that as well due to damaged cables. Did look funny to see the cable draped over the charge port door or the rear view mirror, but it worked and they were free.
I don't have specific information, but I don't believe that is correct. If you plug into a Tesla (or any other Plug and Charge location), all you have to do is plug in and charging will start - no app required in most cases (some do). The vehicle has to tell the charger who you are so that the...
That's interesting - how? That sounds like a good way damage something. The Lightning certainly is not expecting to be paralleled with another power source, and the PowerWall expects a grid connection that can source or load an very large amount of power (which the Lightning can not).
I'm curious what you have for the inverter. Not that I can do that as my Grid tied solar system uses micro inverters at each panel, so I don't have any access to the DC from the solar.
Why not? Can you not look at your intended route and look forward nnn miles and find a charger? Of course you can. Whether nnn is 75 miles or 275 miles or anywhere in between makes no difference.
As for ABRP, I have it n my phone and have played with it a bit, but never used it for a trip.
Agreed, even if NACS never changes (in other words nothing replaces it), it will be many years of adapters - regardless of what connector your vehicle has. I would assume that in a few years when essentially all new vehicles have a NACS charge port, most of the non-Tesla charging networks will...
That is mostly true for me. The only I have "made money" on was medical - but three surgeries in the last five years that were each around a $125K each helps with that one...
Your last statement is one of the things that will run through one of those plugs - several antenna cables (in flex conduit). The other plug will be used for a conduit with fairly large gauge wire for the aux battery system. i will have two batteries in the bed and the chargers and radios that...
