Ford can't help but try to put themselves out of business. They can't write and distribute SW, but yet they want to complicate the assembly line and support forever by introducing a new size battery. They prove every day they can't simply and just deliver.
And these same people are in business in so many dealers every day. In many cases now protected by laws that the dealer associations have bought from their senators and representatives.
You are correct - there are quite a few threads that are hold over from the ICE.
Many don't know that haven't been here from the beginning, but this forum was split from f150gen14.com. All old threads and users came with it. I asked the powers that be at the time to delete the ICE stuff...
You have no rights. This has come up before. How we continue to let companies get away with the miles of legal jargon. There is the alternative, we don't have to use it, but just because we do it's insane what we give up. Yes - I worry about TikTok, but simply because it is a foreign...
The sheer number of people upset on this forum that Ford took so long to get them their promised Tesla adapter and those with stories about what they've done with the adapter they have received and how it made their travel easier/better is all you need to know about the status of charging in the US.
Great write up and trip. Very sorry about the knees, hoping they heal well and quick.
I've read many threads about how good mileage many get in the winter. My truck won't do it and sounds like it is more on par with yours. First I'll admit I've never taken a long trip. Mine is always...
Here you go - 45 pages of discussion of back window problems in now "older" F150's. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/exploding-rear-window-145329/#post1555926
That menu button was the dumbest idea ever. Just display the menu. However these computers are so underpowered they probably had concern with drawing that menu if it wasn’t needed. That seems so minute but it wouldn’t surprise me for many of the tradoffs we have and what seems to be garbage...
Haven't heard of it in the Lightning, but as quoted above this was a big thing for many years, years ago. This was 10 years ago - I had a 2014 it was for a few years around that time. There are other Ford forums with those threads and many many issues. It was speculated that it was the...
Yeah - new scheduler/service advisor at Utter - Tiffany I think it was, just told me I was too far away for them now. Tracy at 5 Star did check with a tech, I think they knew agreed they needed to get power supply, but they started down the road of they knew it would take all day.
So I'm...
I've gone back through the last few pages of the thread, has this update been changed to in shop only? My shop 30 miles away that I've been using says I'm too far for mobile updates now. So I called a closer dealer they said they'd only do it in shop and it would take all day. I didn't...
Video loaded for me, but I'm not sure if these guys are just late to market and trying to make a name for themselves, or is he trying to really say that in 2024 Ford actually made these updates to the battery pack? I haven't been over to Monroe in a while, but they are usually very clear in...
I just found this thread today and was on page 4/4 and couldn't believe someone hadn't noted this. The older trucks still don't have the SW that Farley specifically said we'd get from the '24's.
So no - my gut says we'll likely never see these updates. Ford has surprised me once or...
For these updates, just starting the truck would trigger the download. I know you're being safe, while leaving it running, but truly that part isn't necessary. Once started it will continue to download and install if you shut it off.
Just glad that Ford is continuing to catch up more...
A few days back when it came up I went out to look at the front blinkers - they indeed are the DRL's that blink amber and the white light goes out while it is doing so.
Our blinkers are bright - when I am stopped at night with one on I see everything light up around - you can see the reflection...
There are a few BT modules - and more on the upper trims. The one item that has come up multiple times is that Lariat and Platinum can open the Frunk without first unlocking the truck. The Pro and XLT won't do that. There are small differences that take place due to different receivers on...
