I did this - grabbed one of the $30 used ones from eBay. They do say scrap if dropped, and unfortunately since the TSB was posted we also know that some of the problems could be a misplaced pin in a wiring harness. I'm with you though. If I can disassemble in 10 - 15 minutes and plug in a...
The sad part about this is that Ford knows they have either a build quality issue if the pin/wiring harness has a problem, or they have bad physical assemblies, but if you are out of warranty you are out of luck and pay out of pocket.
The F'n BS is that Ford doesn't have them all pushed to all of our trucks and installed. No dealer necessary. Why cause this kind of discourse between your buyers, your worthless dealers and FOMOCO? Just push and install the freaking updates. FOMOCO is so tied to their whiny ass rich...
Congrats on finding something a bit cheaper than the Mongoose. I'd be just a bit nervous with it being wireless, and did you find good reviews of it being OK with FDRS. Thanks for blazing the trail - just a bit nervous as the experts say pretty much nothing but the Mongoose or the other...
I'm not familiar with that cable, the price is good, but I think this is the one recommended for Forscan. I hope yours will work too. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081VQVD3F?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2
If you get into FDRS do not go cheap on the cable, only the expensive ones...
First - I'm going to go out on a limb and say your dealer probably told you they updated everything, but I'm guessing they really didn't. Most don't and there are many reports here how the dealer says they did and then checks behind the scenes prove they really didn't. Dealers still don't...
Only 3 to 4 years late on Fords part to do a quality review. Plus they need to continue to ship and replace until said review and parts redesign is complete. Total lack of any kind of respect to customers. Why leave their expensive truck sitting when you could keep us happier by keeping...
I recently upgraded my home network equipment to Ubiquiti. Digging through data I find that the truck connects twice to my home network. Once from Ford and once from Sync. They each have their own MAC address. I only expected one.
I've never activated the ATT Wifi connection in the...
So just why the heck won't Ford send OTA updates to install oll of this SW they have sitting around everywhere. I've never seen such backward thinking in all my life.
I've always liked the shifter in the trucks - perfect place to rest your hand, however the number of people that have reported being stranded in the Lightning due to the stuck shifter make a person think this might be a mod to consider.
So that is my question, that may only come with time, or...
Ford can't get the basics out, NO - we'll never see camera viewing on the app, you'll never even see it in the truck. I don't truly know the specs of the Sync system - but it is the bare minimum. It's slow and laggy as it is.
Tesla has 3 main computers - left, right and the center. That...
Very nice trick.
Received this when I went for a drive today. Had an immediate on screen notification and was checking the app, but it had frozen. When I restarted I do have an app notification, but no message has shown up just yet.
'22 Lariat - EAP for reference.
Just glad to see...
Your truck has nothing to do with how the app looks and you know if you received the email from Ford and are in the beta. If you are posting someone else's screen shot and you don't have it in your version of the app, then you know they are violating their terms of the beta program.
