Yep, but the backed off of that on the Bronco due to dealer pressure. I have not seen anything about Lightning allocations...

And this is impossible since Ford has not released anything on how allocations work so not even the dealers really know how many they are going to get. My advice is to find a dealer you can trust to charge MSRP or less and hang on patiently.

I think this is a legitimate explanation why dealers are hesitant to tell customer where they are in line. People are not good at understanding why they are suddenly further back (even though those who "cut in front" technically were there first but were in a different line.

So money earned from holdback does not count toward profit? Short answer: dealers who don't sell cars for a profit don't exist for long.

Don't count on it. Demo units are typically available for sale at some point and and built at this same time as customer builds. Soooo... every demo unit made delays a customer build. I think I read that Job 1 (first saleable builds) is planned for sometime in April.

I may also be looking to find an aftermarket upgrade to power seats. Less for me but my wife is concerned as she is nearly a foot shorter than I am.

Send them the dealer guides posted here... Some of them had fairly clear directions for dealer.

That only matters if you dealer played the game. Mine didn't and I feel good about that but when I get my invite is based on when Ford allocates enough truck to them.

Seems like the Bronco mess in a lot of ways. If only Ford didn't cave to the dealer network and based allocations on where the reservations are, not based on how much clout the dealer has with Ford. @Granger Ford is hopefully a glimpse of the future but it is going to take time to evolve.
