We met at "Ford's Garage", a very cool Ford themed restaurant for those that aren'f familiar with them, but they entertain cars of all brands. As we were leaving a group of Viper owners was meeting up.
Had a great time this morning. Enjoyed meeting fellow forum members. I believe 6 trucks from here and 2 from FB groups.
Feel free to share pics if you like - @sstevetx @LUXMAN @bmwhitetx @TexasGardeningGirl @Scorpio3d
I have that same part number and did get the email. So if they made a production change they didn't do a good job of updating the part revision.
It does sound like from a few sources it was a defect more than a change however.
Maybe it is just that second wave.
If I feel like some...
@LUXMAN will likely weigh in, but he has not received an email for either of his two adapters - the same as @TaxmanHog.
@LUXMAN - looked and they do have serial numbers on them - or at least a number designated by S and they are different. So I don't know if Ford tracked, but if they know...
Received as well.
I hope they are marking the new adapters well in some way. I can see now a lot of the first gen determined to have problems hitting the open market. Truly I'm hopeful the problem isn't that bad, but if Ford is going to reship another adapter that costs $50 or something...
Not everyone has their truck listed in their signature or avatar area, but I've not seen or found any '22's with this update. There are a few '22's that used to get the SW releases almost always day 1. We haven't received this one. Some '23's and '24's are a step ahead at this point...
I'm no expert, but I'm part of the club that has had a HV battery module replaced. I'm not real trusting any more. If you get a message about HV battery, I can tell you that charging is the one that that seems to always bring that red ring and indication you may have bigger problems...
We are DFW based, just trying for a local get together. You likely have other owners here in the forum or local groups. Find a location and post some messages and you might have a meet up on your hands !
Someone has done black. Several different lug nut conversations in this thread: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/?%E2%80%8D♂%EF%B8%8F-what-did-you-do-to-your-lightning-today.11210/post-411576
I'm hard on Ford about the SW and the battery troubles with this truck, but I will recognize that in the last month alone this truck has made a very positive experience in quite a few lives as "backup power" that would have not had it otherwise.
I hope Ford can still get their next...
The light bar is on during the day when the truck is not in park. The light bar is NOT part of the DRL's - at least not from a control perspective. You can not adjust the brightness of the bar. It's been proven too many times and last year it was discovered how the light bar is powered...
The only think I know about the factory mobile charger is that is one of the modules that can not be update OTA. There was an update a year or so back for it, but it can only be done with FDRS plugged in.
