I guess it's all how you look at it, but if you need FDRS to apply these, then they are not consistent updates from Ford. They can queue them and put them out there all day long, but if they can't get them bundled and pushed to all trucks OTA, then they are useless and not considered consistent...
It is very hit or miss. I've had my truck for over 2 years - it is never consistent when it will light up and when it doesn't. It does it for me about 50% of the time or maybe even a little less.
It does look like it a bit on the ball joints. I didn't pay a lot of attention as I was just snapping a pic and trying to stay out of the way of the installers.
Follow up - DFW area I'm very pleased with Texas Star Automotive in McKinney - 972-452-7755. They listened and put in Ford original glass. State Farm insurance.
For a little documentation the engineering code on the new glass was one letter incremented on the end, so I assume some...
I'll take that all day long compared to what we've got with Ford and SK.
Random packs - most '22's, some '23's - module failures with no warning. No disclosures, no long term statements or support.
I think overall it's the same truck, no Foundation badging, no Home Kit included, no Light Bar included. The first edition included the bigger wheels and white interior by default.
Oh- I've got two reservations. I'll get the $200 back in a few months. Just letting it ride for now.
I'd be driving one if I hadn't gone head first with Ford for the same price. It fits my needs for a "truck". It has better battery technology, it has better hardware and software...
Great information - thank you. I had looked in all 4 corners of the glass for info, but had not looked in the center of the glass. All the info just as you noted and Carlex has the matching engineering numbers cross referenced to part numbers. Surprised at the price even from the Ford...
I've got a cracked windshield - State Farm insurance. They gave me numbers to Safelite and a local smaller company. I'm going with the smaller guy - personable and seems to know his glass.
He says he has Ford factory/replacement glass - made by Carlite. That seems to check out per...
I would think so - very few reports of this update. I've been very lucky for a few years being one of the first to get each release and nada for me in a month now.
If I recall it was mainly '23's that have reported it so far.
I was not aware of that tool - very nice. Its been about a month since I had an update, I'll take the opportunity to download my latest file as it exists.
Not sure I follow that, but every time I start a Forscan session I back up the modules I'm going to modify. In just two years the SW has changed quite a bit and added many lines to some of the files.
So if you are comparing files to when you first got your truck and started using Froscan to...
Still no control to be added to Control center as detailed on Apple and noted by Farley as coming with iOS 18 - this FALL. I guess somewhere queued up behind those Tesla adapters.
Sadly as poor as Sync is at connecting to CarPlay etc, I don't even consider wireless charging an option in the truck. Plugging in gets faster charging and wired CarPlay has reduced my frustration with this system.
I had turned wireless CarPlay completely off and only used wired until a week...
You may be right about something in the headlight itself changing brightness, but none of the threads or conversations nor even your reply to me talk about those. We are all trying to make the lighter brighter, which we've learned enough about is now likely impossible. Each half of the...
