I had the electrician put the FCSP in with the 100 amp breaker and wiring for 80 amps. It sounded like a good idea, not knowing much about EVs and thinking I needed the higher power for the big battery. But since I have had it installed I turned it down to 60 amps and even that is faster than I...
We did double check that and found there was one neutral that did not get pulled out of the neutral bar. Even with that isolated it faulted.
I have a Fluke meter (my son works there and gets me all kinds of stuff) and if I know what to check I could do that.
Thanks for the advice and I will do more troubleshooting.
It seemed random as the electrician and I tried different circuits and worked to keep things balanced between the legs, but it would seem it could be a number of different circuits on the 6852 that caused it to have a ground fault. We...
I spent yesterday putting in one of these Generac 6852 with an electrician so I did it correctly. We put in a couple of tandem breakers to get to 10 circuits like I had on my previous transfer switch. But it is not working correctly while using ProPower from the truck. I don’t get the bonded...
I have the same problem with my transfer switch that I had installed 18 years ago to use with my gas generator. I got the bonded neutral issue as well when I plugged the truck in. So I have had 3 electricians out to give me quotes on how to fix it. One understood but wanted $5500 to put in...
I threw my golf clubs in the frunk one day and when I came out from work I was surprised to see the hood open because they pushed up against the switch. I couldn't hide that I was going golfing that day when people walked past and saw my clubs in the open trunk.
I need one of these covers...
I have the FCSP wired with a 100A circuit but ended up turning it down from 80A to 60A because it charged fast but the cable would get hot. I'm even thinking of turning down to 48A since I drive about 60 to 70 miles a day and even starting at 9 pm to give my batteries time to cool down after...
I have a FCSP and debated from 80 to 60 kw. Did not need the 80 to charge at night and thought it might make the battery last longer. Have been thinking of going even lower.
Ever since I got my FCSP installed I had a hard time getting it connected so I could see it through my FordPass app. Had the installer Sun Run recommended even try when they installed it and they had problems and tried calling Ford Customer Service.
This past weekend I decided I wanted to try...
The dealer printed out a new window sticker from Ford that shows the new price that is below the $80K price. And Ford moved my purchase date a week later than when they dropped the price.
I bought my 2023 Lariat ER in July and my dealer got me a price adjustment today. Big shout out to Bickford Ford in Snohomish, Washington (Seattle area) for pursuing this for me.
I was able to get in on the short window of 0% Ford financing for 36 months in July. The deal ended on July 5th, and...
Mine is pretty tight and I only put the bolts on the bottom of the license. The bracket behind is pretty stout so the plate sits tight against it. Agree though that you can't put the bolts in the top holes because the bracket it too tight to the bumper.
I did not want holes drilled in my bumper and the factory one sits too high up and is in an odd spot in my opinion. I searched and bought one of these that attaches to the tow hook and doesn't block a vent or sensor. It is pretty beefy and I did have to put a shim under one side before...
I also put on one of these license plate holders that connects to the tow hook. I didn’t like the way the factory holder looked in the middle of the grill. This is from Swarfworks and it is built stout. I did have to put a shim on it to get it to be level.
I I ride bikes and wanted a rack in the bed. I have a Kurt hitch rack but it sticks out further than I wanted. Put a Ride88 rack in. https://www.ride88.com/ford-f-series can be removed easily but holds the bikes firm. Bit expensive so I just got the 2 bike rack. I put the bike in with the rear...
