I need new tires soon for my 22 Platinum, so I’m curious if the ride is any smoother with these? My general grabber’s are not smooth at certain highway speeds.
Not sure, but I kind of thought mine may have come from a wrecked test mule, since it was so close to when it launched and it came from a wrecking yard in Detroit.
Does anyone have a lead on some good stickers suitable for a laptop? I’m usually a tech sticker kind of guy, but want to show some love for my truck. Bonus points if you also know of some good Mach-E ones!
I got a 8yr/100k extended warranty just so I can match the bumper to bumper up to the battery warranty. Since it was a first model year, I wanted a little extra protection.
I might consider a T3 whenever it comes out, but I tend to keep my vehicles a long time.
Speaking of this, I keep watching the dealership I bought my truck from discounting the red 2022 Platinum that can in the same day. It’s down to $75k on the website, wonder how much lower it will go. Still owe way less than that, but I use it as a good mental note for the market. ?
My wife got her MME about a month after I got the Lightning because she loved how smooth the EV was (she had an Expedition before the MME). She still loves it and the only complaint she has is the new top row screen icons are “ugly”. ?
In case anyone was looking for a chest freezer/cooler for their Lightning, I saw these today. I already have one, but wanted to pass it along.

The dealership I got mine from still has a 2022 Platinum that came the same day as mine. It has no deletes and I’ve also wondered what they would sell it for. They don’t list any incentives on their website.
Not sure, I need to look into it more, but I was surprised because my assumption was that the onboard charger and the ProPower would be isolated from each other. Maybe that's not the case.
For my use-case that wouldn't make sense. The Lightning is parked in a barn/garage that has a fully separate electrical service and trying to back-feed all of to my house would be pretty expensive. Instead I just have an 30A generator inlet (via Interlock) and plug that into the truck when needed.
Tonight I did an interesting test, I wanted to power the house off my truck for the night since we are expecting storms around 3am and I didn’t want to have to flip over then if the power went out.
My garage is on a different meter and fed by a different pole, so I left it plugged in to charge...
Just search on eBay for “ford Lightning tail lights 2022” and you should see plenty of listing.
The biggest thing you have to worry about is making sure you get the appropriate one for your model. Lariat/Platinum have the indentation around the reverse light and the XLT does not.
