  1. Sport Mode

Those two presses might not be so annoying if the Sync computer and screen weren't slower than my first 286 IBM Compatible PC in 1996.
  2. App Precondition/Charging Speeds Gone

If you disabled Share Driving Data in the connectivity screen, Ford punishes you by hiding that charging data from the FordPass application. Yes, we know charging data has nothing to do with driving data. And in fact the truck is still sharing your charging data for anything else using the API...
  3. LIDAR/radar detector install

Can you post pics of your setup? I'm considering a similar configuration.
  4. Generator inlet w / solar…

Based on what the OP has described, this is the complete and correct answer assuming the OP is planning to use a generator inlet and backfeed interlock on the panel. Not a fancy ATS.
  5. Accelerating on braking?

On two occasions I've experienced unintended acceleration in Blue Cruise in stop-and-go slow traffic on the highway. Nothing to do with one-pedal, and my feet were nowhere near either pedal anyway. It was slow-rolling along in traffic in hands-free blue cruise as it does every day. I believe...
  6. Diamondback SE hard tonneau cover installed!

NO. It is made to order for the selected vehicle from the website. If you're looking for a used one, you're not going to find model #XYZ.
  7. Diamondback SE hard tonneau cover installed!

This is exactly the reason I went with the SE. I wish I had an ATV to drive up on top of it....
  8. Diamondback SE hard tonneau cover installed!

They are built to-order and you select your year/make/model truck when ordering. https://diamondbackcovers.com/products/diamondbackse
  9. Diamondback SE hard tonneau cover installed!

About 80lbs. The two panels are 35lbs each. So not a factor affecting range. Aerodynamically it is probably neutral to a slight reduction, but again nothing of any significance to actually care about. Security is more important to me than the loss of 1.2 miles range.
  10. Diamondback SE hard tonneau cover installed!

Finally arrived and love it. I didn't want a soft cover due to the lack of security. I didn't want the roll-up because of the box taking up too much room at the front of the bed. I didn't want the hard covers that accordion since you can't open/close them with stuff in the bed. And didn't...
  11. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

Nobody is saying any of that. You're getting alarmed over a topic that isn't this topic. Then accusing people of not being mad about a topic that isn't this topic. If you want to start a thread about big data, data mining, and the industry of obtaining and selling information, go ahead. I'm...
  12. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

Your self inflicted annoyance is misplaced. Nobody is saying it's wonderful that LexisNexis has all that information. The entire point is that they DO NOT have the one thing this 7 page topic is actually about: Driving data.
  13. Ford Pass Update 5.0.0 -- Limited Public Beta Release [closed]

Both use the 12v system. Both use the 12v battery. And both use the HV battery through the DC-DC converter to charge the 12v battery and provide additional power when required.
  14. NTSB To Investigate Fatal Accident in San Antonio Involving Ford BlueCruise

That's not a question at all actually. Recognizing an object that is not moving is difficult for radar. This is a very well known and understood limitation of radar. Every manufacturer knows it. The NTSB, DOT, IIHS, AND NHTSA all know of this. It's even written in many vehicle owners manuals...
  15. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

The switch disables driving data and I expect that data is indeed no longer being shared. The app is hiding charging data, which is either a punishment or a bug in the app. I would expect charging data to actually stop being shared if I turn off share vehicle data.
  16. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

I'm using the dumb mobile charging cable, which is not a connected device. All data is coming from the Ford connected vehicle services cloud.
  17. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

On Wednesday, turned off Share Driving Data, but left on share vehicle data. As others have noted, the charging data disappears from the FordPass app when you disable driving data. I don't mind that since I really only care about the SOC and range anyway. Now, you'd think that means the...
  18. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

Have you been into the connectivity settings to look at them recently?
  19. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

I have no faith that lawsuit will result in change. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for it to go away and not be sharing every detail of my life with anyone that wants to pay for it. But I also believe their attorneys are smarter and know what they can legally get away with.
  20. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

If you believe three of the largest industries and corporations on the planet are in such flagrant violation of the law, by all means take legal action. Let us know how that goes. Those who are more realistic will do what we can to meet our needs here in reality.
